Chong Wei kecundang lagi

IBARAT sudah tercipta 'kelebihan psikologi' milik jaguh China, Lin Dan, yang mudah menewaskan pemain utama negara, Lee Chong Wei (gambar)pada final badminton Siri Super Terbuka China, semalam.

Lin Dan hanya perlukan 39 minit untuk menamatkan pertentangan kemuncak itu, terutama menerusi kemenangan mudah pada set kedua selepas diberi tentangan seketika pada set pertama.

Kemenangan 21-18, 21-9 itu adalah yang kedua berturut-turut oleh Lin Dan terhadap Chong Wei selepas jaguh China itu memusnahkan musuh utamanya itu pada final Sukan Olimpik Beijing, Ogos lalu.


Ia juga memanjangkan usaha Chong Wei mencari gelaran yang belum mahu jadi miliknya semenjak melonjak ke status pemain nombor satu dunia sebaik tamat temasya Olimpik lalu.

Kelmarin, pemain utama negara itu menewaskan pemain Korea Selatan, Park Sung-hawn 17-21, 21-8, 21-7 dalam saingan separuh akhir.

Kekalahannya juga melengkapkan kekecewaan skuad negara selepas beregu wanita utama, Wong Pei Tty-Chin Eei Hui, turut kecundang pada perlawanan akhir di tangan pemain tuan rumah.

Pei Tty-Eei Hui, mencari gelaran Siri Super kedua, memberikan aksi penuh bersemangat tetapi tidak cukup untuk mengatasi gandingan Zhang Yawen-Zhao Tingting yang menang 21-14, 21-19.
