Apa dah jadi tawaran berlatih di Itali?

KUALA LUMPUR - Ratu lompat bergalah negara, Roslinda Samsu sehingga kini masih tertanya- tanya mengenai tawaran berlatih di Pusat Latihan Prestasi Tinggi (HPTC) di Itali.

Atlet kelahiran Kuala Nerang itu berkata, dia sehingga ini tidak mendengar sebarang perkhabaran terbaru mengenai perkara tersebut.

"Saya langsung tidak mengetahui perkembangan selanjutnya mengenai tawaran tersebut dan masih tertanya-tanya adakah ia masih ditawarkan kepada saya.

"Saya sememangnya berminat untuk berlatih di sana (Itali) dan ia merupakan peluang terbaik untuk menimba ilmu serta beraksi di peringkat Eropah," katanya yang dihubungi di sini, semalam.

Katanya, dia kadang-kala berasa malu apabila ditanya oleh orang ramai mengenai latihan di Itali, sedangkan tidak mengetahui butiran lanjut mengenai tawaran itu.

Ditanya mengenai dakwaan dia telah menolak tawaran itu sebelum ini, Roslinda berkata, dia tidak menolaknya, sebaliknya sekadar menyoal kenapa perkara itu secara tiba-tiba diberikan kepadanya.

"Saya cuma meragui sahaja tetapi tidak menolaknya. HPTC di Itali adalah tempat terbaik untuk berlatih dan ratu lompat bergalah dunia juga berlatih di sana," tegasnya.

Ditanya mengenai persediaan latihannya ketika ini, Roslinda menjelaskan, dia kini berlatih bersama jurulatih tempatan dan berasa selesa dengan program latihan yang dikendalikan.

Sementara itu, kata Roslinda, dia masih lagi berada pada prestasi baik, meskipun sekadar melakukan lompatan setinggi empat meter untuk memperoleh pingat emas di Sukan Universiti ASEAN, baru-baru ini.

Menurutnya, dia baru sahaja kembali menjalani latihan, setelah bercuti panjang iaitu lebih daripada sebulan apabila tamatnya Sukan Olimpik Beijing.

"Saya hanya beraksi pada prestasi 70 peratus daripada aksi terbaik. Saya juga hanya melakukan larian pendek dan menggunakan galah lembut pada kejohanan tersebut.

"Prestasi saya tidak menurun dan lompatan pada kejohanan tersebut bukanlah aksi sebenar. Masih banyak lagi perkara yang belum dilakukan bersama jurulatih baru," katanya.
