Dua regu emas tahun 2005 bersedia wakili negara di Laos

KUALA LUMPUR - Dua daripada anggota regu emas Sukan SEA 2005, Normanizam Ahmad dan Futra Ghani menyuarakan kesediaan kembali menyarung jersi negara khususnya bagi menghadapi Sukan SEA Laos, Disember ini sekiranya ada pelawaan Persatuan Sepak Takraw Malaysia (PSM).

Malah, secara merendah diri, Normanizam, 27, tekong regu yang mengakhiri kemarau emas 12 tahun negara dengan Futra (pelibas) dan pengumpan, Zulkarnain Ariff di Cebu, Filipina, sempat bertanya kepada Utusan Malaysia, semalam: "Tak kan mereka (PSM) mahu memanggil saya balik?"

"Tapi jika ada pelawaan, apa salahnya," kata pemain kelab Sri Putra selain Futra dan Ariff Ramli yang muncul naib juara siri ujian kedua 2009 setelah dikalahkan regu elit negara, Malaysia B 2-1 dalam perlawanan akhir di Kompleks Sukan Majlis Sukan Negara, Taman Keramat di sini, semalam.

Selepas sekadar membawa pulang dua perak Sukan Asia Doha 2006, trio emas ini terbabit dalam adegan 'tarik tali' dengan PSM berhubung isu kerjaya dan masa depan mereka sehingga Presidennya, Datuk Ahmad Ismail mengarahkan mereka 'berehat' daripada skuad elit yang turut mengalami rombakan besar pemain, setahun kemudian.

Normanizam, Futra dan Ariff bagaimanapun tampil menjadi penawar kehampaan dua regu elit negara dalam Piala Datuk Bandar Hatyai, bulan lalu apabila regu mereka, Malaysia A menewaskan kelab Audas Thailand untuk bergelar juara kejohanan bertaraf tiga bintang itu.

Sesuatu yang agak membimbangkan skuad negara ketika ini ialah kegagalan mereka untuk mengakhiri badi kecundang kepada Thailand mahupun kelab lawan sejak tahun lalu termasuk dalam beberapa pertandingan antarabangsa yang diadakan di tanah air.

Kehilangan seketika pelibas utama, Azlan Mubin dan Hamikhairi Roslan kerana kecederaan dan kemungkinan pengunduran tekong kidal senior, Sulaiman Salleh, mulai menjejaskan persediaan awal skuad negara ke Laos atau yang terdekat, Kejohanan Dunia Piala Malaysia Ketiga di Kuala Terengganu, Mei ini.

Kata Futra, 28, dia masih berminat kembali ke pangkuan skuad negara yang banyak menjulang namanya, empat tahun lalu malah berjanji untuk tidak lagi menimbulkan banyak masalah dengan pengurusan pasukan atau PSM seperti sebelumnya.

"Jika saya diterima masuk pasukan semula, saya tidak mahu memikirkan banyak masalah lagi termasuk hal peribadi malah saya rasa tidak sukar untuk mendapatkan pelepasan majikan. Ketika ini kami sudah banyak menyertai pertandingan tempatan dan luar negara," kata guru pendidikan jasmani sekolah di Petaling Jaya ini.

Sementara itu jurulatih negara, Haris Abdul Rahman mengakui pengalaman mereka masih menjadi aset yang meningkatkan kualiti skuad elit terutama apabila tiga regunya yang terpaksa dirombak kerana kecederaan pemain asal, terkandas pada pusingan kedua siri ujian itu.

"Kemasukan mereka boleh dipertimbangkan dalam perbincangan dengan pihak atasan PSM," katanya yang setakat ini cuma menyaksikan anak buahnya memenangi satu sirkit Grand Prix Antarabangsa Malaysia 2007 di Kuala Lumpur dan Jemputan Vietnam di Dong-nai, Disember lalu.

Rajagobal Let Off The Hook

PETALING JAYA, April 24 (Bernama) -- National head coach Datuk K. Rajagobal was let off the hook by the Football Association of Malaysia's (FAM) Disciplinary Committee after finding no evidence that he had violated FAM's Article 88, as claimed.
