Kegembiraan Anuar tidak berpanjangan


KEGEMBIRAAN yang dikecapi Anuar Manan semalam tidak kekal lama.

Kira-kira empat jam selepas ditabalkan selaku pemegang baru Jersi Hijau (Raja Pecut) pada peringkat keenam JM'09 dari Kuantan ke Bera, Anuar terpaksa akur apabila jersi yang dimena- nginya itu ditarik balik.

Semuanya gara-gara keputusan pegawai perlumbaan (komisar) yang menarik balik hukuman terhadap pelumba pasukan LeTua Cycling Team, Samai.

Terdahulu, komisar tidak mengesahkan kemenangan Samai pada zon pecutan kedua di Maran (58.6 kilometer) selepas pelumba kelahiran Indo- nesia itu didakwa menyiku Anuar.

Begitupun, selepas pengurusan LeTua Cycling Team membuat bantahan dengan mengemukakan hujah serta bukti sahih kepada pihak komisar, akhirnya Samai didapati tidak melakukan seba- rang kesalahan seperti yang didakwa.

Situasi itu menyaksikan Samai kembali diiktiraf sebagai pemenang pada zon pecutan kedua, sementara Anuar sekadar berada di tempat kedua.

Sekalipun Jersi Hijau yang dimenanginya telah ditarik balik, Anuar tidak menganggap insiden yang berlaku itu sebagai satu masalah besar buat dirinya.

Sebaliknya, dia semakin bersemangat untuk kembali mendapatkan jersi tersebut pada perlum- baan peringkat ketujuh dari Tanjung Malim ke Genting Highlands hari ini.

"Saya tidak ada masalah dengan apa yang telah berlaku dan saya terima keputusan yang dibuat komisar.

"Pada perlumbaan esok (hari ini), saya akan cuba berjuang habis-habisan dan saya yakin boleh dapat Jersi Hijau semula," kata Anuar yang menamatkan perlumbaan di tempat ke-71 semalam.

Anuar menambah, selain berusaha mengutip se- berapa banyak mata pada perlumbaan sejauh 117km hari ini, dia juga mengintai peluang untuk menduduki kedudukan terbaik dalam acara krite- rium pada peringkat kelapan di Dataran Merdeka esok.

"Dalam saingan kriterium, saya akan buat sehabis baik bagi membolehkan saya menyarung Jersi Hijau buat tahun ketiga berturut-turut," kata pelumba pasukan Azad University Continental Team itu.

Untuk rekod, Anuar berjaya memenangi gelaran Raja Pecut selama dua tahun berturut-turut sebelum ini ketika mewakili pasukan LeTua Cycling Team.

Rajagobal Let Off The Hook

PETALING JAYA, April 24 (Bernama) -- National head coach Datuk K. Rajagobal was let off the hook by the Football Association of Malaysia's (FAM) Disciplinary Committee after finding no evidence that he had violated FAM's Article 88, as claimed.
