Tiada larangan ke luar negara - MSN


KUALA LUMPUR - Majlis Sukan Negara (MSN) tidak pernah mengeluarkan larangan kepada atlet atau pasukan kebangsaan daripada bertanding di luar negara ekoran kebimbangan terhadap wabak influenza A (H1N1).

Badan sukan kebangsaan itu sebaliknya hanya mengeluarkan nasihat kepada persatuan sukan supaya tidak mengunjungi lima negara yang telah disenaraikan oleh Kementerian Kesihatan.

Ketua Pengarahnya, Datuk Zolkples Embong berkata, beliau perlu memberi penjelasan kepada persatuan-persatuan sukan yang terkeliru dengan arahan 'larangan' yang pernah dikeluarkan MSN sebelum ini.

Kesan daripada larangan itu, dikhuatiri akan menjejaskan persiapan mereka bagi menghadapi beberapa kejohanan penting seperti Sukan SEA (Disember), Sukan Komanwel (2010) dan Sukan Asia (2010).

"MSN tidak pernah mengeluarkan arahan melarang atlet dan pasukan kebangsaan daripada ke luar negara, apatah lagi Kementerian Kesihatan sendiri tidak pernah mengeluarkan larangan secara bertulis.

"Kami cuma menasihati mereka agar tidak mengunjungi lima negara yang telah dikenal pasti mempunyai kes H1N1, tetapi bagi program luar negara lain yang tidak diadakan di negara ini, ia masih boleh diteruskan.

"Contohnya, pasukan bola jaring dan hoki wanita kita sekarang berada di Australia untuk menjalani latihan dan pertandingan, kita faham atlet negara perlu sentiasa berada dalam keadaan pertandingan kerana mereka akan menghadapi banyak kejohanan besar tidak lama lagi seperti Sukan SEA (Disember) dan Sukan Asia serta Komanwel tahun depan.

"Tetapi ada program sukan yang terpaksa dibatalkan kerana ia melibatkan negara yang mempunyai kes H1N1 seperti latihan olahraga di Jerman dan hoki bawah 16, juga dijadual di Jerman.

"Namun bagi olahraga, kita telah meminta Kesatuan Olahraga Amatur Malaysia supaya mengenal pasti negara lain yang boleh kita hantar atlet ini sebagai ganti kepada latihan di Jerman,'' ujar Zolkeples selepas mesyuarat bersama Menteri Belia dan Sukan di Putrajaya, semalam.

Rajagobal Let Off The Hook

PETALING JAYA, April 24 (Bernama) -- National head coach Datuk K. Rajagobal was let off the hook by the Football Association of Malaysia's (FAM) Disciplinary Committee after finding no evidence that he had violated FAM's Article 88, as claimed. FAM Disciplinary Committee chairman Datuk Taufik Abdul Razak said the committee had decided not to charge Rajagobal after carefully analysing the video of the post-match press conference by the 56-year-old coach.
