Tiga regu ke separuh akhir

TIGA regu lelaki negara, menempah tempat ke separuh akhir Kejohanan Sepak Takraw Dunia yang berlangsung di Stadium Negeri, Terengganu, semalam.

Regu Malaysia B dijadual bersaing sesama sendiri apabila dijadual berdepan Malaysia A manakala Malaysia E berdepan laluan sukar apabila menempah saingan menentang Thailand hari ini.

Dalam saingan suku akhir semalam, Malaysia A menundukkan Indonesia 2-0 manakala dalam satu lagi perlawanan, Malaysia E menundukkan Vietnam, juga dengan 2-0, ketika saingan membabitkan skuad wanita negara berakhir dengan kekecewaan.

Sementara itu, dalam saingan divisyen dua yang dibarisi pasukan dari negara yang baru diperkenalkan dengan sukan itu, regu Malaysia C dan Malaysia D turut mara ke separuh akhir hari ini, masing-masing akan menentang pasukan Brunei dan India.

Dalam usaha merancakkan kemeriahan kejohanan itu, satu perlawanan persahabatan membabitkan pemain legenda, Adnan Saidin yang beraksi bersama Yusuf Chik dan Mohd Nor Abdullah menentang regu jurulatih yang dianggotai Iskandar Arshad, Zaidi Ismail dan Amir Abu Bakar, dijadual dilangsungkan pada jam 3 petang ini.

Govt Always Gives Emphasis To Sporting Culture, Says PM

KUALA TERENGGANU, May 29 (Bernama) -- Datuk Seri Abdullah Ahmad Badaw i said the government always gives emphasis on cultivating a strong sporting culture in achieving excellence at the international level. Rajagobal Let Off The Hook

PETALING JAYA, April 24 (Bernama) -- National head coach Datuk K. Rajagobal was let off the hook by the Football Association of Malaysia's (FAM) Disciplinary Committee after finding no evidence that he had violated FAM's Article 88, as claimed. FAM Disciplinary Committee chairman Datuk Taufik Abdul Razak said the committee had decided not to charge Rajagobal after carefully analysing the video of the post-match press conference by the 56-year-old coach.
