Fazli aibkan pemanah Olimpian

PEMANAH pelapis elit, Fazli Hisham Fauzi menjadi permata baru sukan memanah apabila meraih emas berganda selepas menguasai acara berpasukan dan individu recurve lelaki pada hari terakhir pertandingan memanah Mini Olimpik, semalam.

Pemanah berusia 19 tahun itu, mempamerkan kejaguhannya apabila menewaskan seniornya, Wan Mohd Khalmizam Wan Abdul Aziz 109-99 pada perlawanan akhir acara individu untuk meraih emas pertama. Gangsa dimenangi Cheng Chu Sian yang menewaskan Nazrin Aizad Mat Nasir 106-104.

Fazli Hisham kemudian berganding bersama Haziq Kamaruddin dan Aiman Hafizuddin Kamarzaman � dalam Trio D pada acara berpasukan untuk menewaskan Trio B, Mohd Zulkifli Tahil, Muhd Fareez Rosli dan Mohd Amirulfaiz Khairul, 214-207 bagi emas keduanya.

"Saat ini, memang saya seronok kerana pada mulanya saya agak gementar. Nasib baik jurulatih (Kim Jae-rack) berdiri di belakang saya, membuatkan saya mampu fokus kembali.

"Pada acara berpasukan pula, saya tidak begitu yakin, cuma kami saling membantu," katanya sambil mengakui markah yang diraih masih belum mampu mengatasi rekod peribadi terbaiknya, 116.

Gangsa acara berpasukan dimiliki Trio A, Chu Sian, Arif Farhan Ibrahim Putra dan Khairul Anuar Mohamad - yang menewaskan Trio C, Nazrin Aizad, Liew Tek Wa dan Wan Mohd Khalmizam.

Pingat emas acara individu recurve wanita pula terus dimenangi S Anbarasi yang mengatasi Noor Aziera Taib 106-104, ketika Nor Huda Azida Zulkifli meraih gangsa selepas menewaskan Nur Amirah Mohamed 101-88.

Gandingan Nor Aziera, Fepriyenita Anuar dan Yee Siew Fong mengatasi trio Nur Amirah, Betric Wong Zhia dan Nor Asreeni Abd Manap 196-190 untuk meraih pingat emas, ketika Nor Huda Azida, Siti Rashida Kamalbasah dan Ng Sui Kim menewaskan S Anbarasi, Farah Wahida Ismail dan Shahira Abdul Halim 187-186, untuk gangsa.

Rajagobal Let Off The Hook

PETALING JAYA, April 24 (Bernama) -- National head coach Datuk K. Rajagobal was let off the hook by the Football Association of Malaysia's (FAM) Disciplinary Committee after finding no evidence that he had violated FAM's Article 88, as claimed. FAM Disciplinary Committee chairman Datuk Taufik Abdul Razak said the committee had decided not to charge Rajagobal after carefully analysing the video of the post-match press conference by the 56-year-old coach.
