Imbuhan berganda buat penerjun gangsa

INSENTIF berganda buat penerjun sensasi wanita negara, Leong Mun Yee dan Pandelela Rinong apabila disenaraikan dalam program elit Majlis Sukan Negara (MSN) - Road To London 2012 - hasil kecemerlangan memenangi pingat gangsa pada Kejohanan Akuatik Dunia di Rome, minggu lalu.

Selain disenaraikan antara 19 atlit elit program itu, bersama-sama atlit dari sukan badminton, lumba basikal dan memanah, kedua-dua penerjun berkenaan juga menerima imbuhan RM10,000 setiap seorang di bawah Skim Hadiah Kemenangan Sukan (Shakam) MSN.

Menteri Belia dan Sukan, Datuk Ahmad Shabery Cheek, berkata kemasukan Mun Yee dan Pandelela adalah sebagai pengiktirafan serta keyakinan dengan kemampuan mereka untuk mencipta kejutan di Sukan Olimpik 2012 seperti yang mereka lakukan di Rome.

“Berdasarkan kecemerlangan dan kejutan yang dicipta Mun Yee-Pandelela dengan memenangi gangsa mengatasi beberapa gandingan terkuat dunia, Lembaga Pengurusan MSN berpendapat kedua-duanya layak disenaraikan dalam program itu dengan keyakinan mereka boleh mengulanginya di London.

“Buat masa ini, hanya dua penerjun itu dimasukkan dalam program berkenaan dan mungkin bilangannya akan bertambah mengikut kepada pencapaian atlit,” kata Shabery.

Terdahulu, Shabery menyerahkan cek RM10,000 masing-masing kepada Mun Yee dan Pandelela. Mun Yee-Pandelela meraih gangsa dalam cara terjun seirama 10 meter platform dengan mengumpul 321.66 mata.

Rajagobal Let Off The Hook

PETALING JAYA, April 24 (Bernama) -- National head coach Datuk K. Rajagobal was let off the hook by the Football Association of Malaysia's (FAM) Disciplinary Committee after finding no evidence that he had violated FAM's Article 88, as claimed.
