Pengalaman perit buka pintu hati



MELALUI jerit perih pengalaman hidup sebagai atlit membuatkan bekas pelari negara, Noorul Arrifin Abdul Majeed tidak berfikir ‘dua kali’ untuk menyertai kempen 1Ringgit 1Malaysia bagi membantu golongan rakan seperjuangannya.


Bagi membuktikan kesungguhannya terhadap kempen anjuran Yayasan Kebajikan Atlet Malaysia (Yakeb), bekas pelari 3,000 meter berhalangan negara itu, menghulurkan sumbangan peribadi RM5,000 kepada Pengurus Besarnya, Md Razib Md Shah.

“Saya akan meletakkan dua tabung di restoran saya iaitu Restoran Seri Mahkota di Sentul dan Puchong. Saya terpanggil menjayakan kempen ini kerana saya juga bekas atlit dan punya pengalaman itu suatu masa dulu,” kata Pengerusi Pendaftar Kenderaan Klasik Wilayah Tengah (Malaysia dan Singapura) yang nyata gembira apabila nasib bekas atlit dan atlit masih aktif terus dibela.

Sementara itu, Naib Presiden Majlis Peguam Negara, Lim Chee Wee, berkata pihaknya akan mengadakan kempen minggu depan dengan meletakkan tabung di beberapa pertandingan yang bakal dianjurkan di seluruh negara seperti merentas desa, golf, badminton, bowling, bola sepak, skuasy dan bola jaring.

Mereka yang prihatin boleh menderma menerusi SMS dengan menaip YAKEB1 untuk RM1, YAKEB2 untuk RM2, YAKEB5 untuk RM5 dan YAKEB10 untuk RM10 dan hantar kepada 33898 sehingga 15 Ogos ini. Setiap derma dikenakan caj 50 sen kepada pengirim.

Sumbangan juga boleh disalurkan menerusi akaun Tabung Yayasan Kebajikan Atlit Kebangsaan bernombor, 5648 4700 5696 (Maybank Berhad) atau menghubungi Yakeb di talian 03-89964841/4844 atau melayari laman web www.yakeb.org.my.

Govt Always Gives Emphasis To Sporting Culture, Says PM

Rajagobal Let Off The Hook

PETALING JAYA, April 24 (Bernama) -- National head coach Datuk K. Rajagobal was let off the hook by the Football Association of Malaysia's (FAM) Disciplinary Committee after finding no evidence that he had violated FAM's Article 88, as claimed. FAM Disciplinary Committee chairman Datuk Taufik Abdul Razak said the committee had decided not to charge Rajagobal after carefully analysing the video of the post-match press conference by the 56-year-old coach.
