Pilih pemain untuk bentuk barisan terbaik skuad hoki kebangsaan

PERSEKUTUAN Hoki Malaysia (PHM) tidak akan membabitkan diri dalam soal pemilihan pemain ke skuad kebangsaan, sebaliknya menyerahkan tugasan itu kepada budi bicara jurulatih, Tai Beng Hai.

Timbalan Presiden badan induk itu, Nur Azmi Ahmad berkata pihaknya tidak akan mengganggu proses itu kerana mempunyai kepercayaan penuh ke atas pengendali skuad negara untuk mencanang barisan terbaik.

Pada ketika sama, dia juga menegaskan PHM belum menerima sebarang surat secara hitam putih daripada mana-mana pemain yang dikhabarkan bakal meninggalkan skuad kebangsaan, sebaliknya berkata desas desus berkenaan hanya daripada pihak media sahaja.

Dia mengulangi bahawa pemain tonggak yang tidak terpilih ke siri latihan pendedahan luar negara dalam Jelajah Australia dan New Zealand, baru-baru ini tidak bermakna mereka digugurkan daripada skuad.

"Jika jurulatih atau pengurusan pasukan masih memerlukan khidmat mereka, pemain berkenaan perlu menabur bakti, kecuali menghadapi masalah kesihatan dan kecergasan seperti dibelenggu kecederaan yang boleh dipertimbangkan persaraan mereka.

Ditanya kemungkinan PHM akan memanggil pemain terbabit untuk 'duduk semeja' meluahkan rasa tidak puas hati mereka, Nur Azmi mengulangi pendiriannya bahawa keputusan diserahkan sepenuhnya kepada Beng Hai.

Katanya, sehingga kini, pihaknya memberi ruang kepada Beng Hai menyediakan laporan penuh hasil latihan di Australia dan New Zealand yang akan dibentangkan dalam Mesyuarat Pengurusan persatuan sebelum membincangkan atau mengambil keputusan terhadap isu pengunduran pemain.

Rajagobal Let Off The Hook

PETALING JAYA, April 24 (Bernama) -- National head coach Datuk K. Rajagobal was let off the hook by the Football Association of Malaysia's (FAM) Disciplinary Committee after finding no evidence that he had violated FAM's Article 88, as claimed. FAM Disciplinary Committee chairman Datuk Taufik Abdul Razak said the committee had decided not to charge Rajagobal after carefully analysing the video of the post-match press conference by the 56-year-old coach.
