RM168 juta untuk F1 1Malaysia


MODEL kereta pasukan F1 1Malaysia.


PASUKAN Formula Satu (F1) 1Malaysia (1MF1T) akan mempunyai modal permulaan sebanyak RM168 juta manakala bajet tahunan pasukan dianggarkan mencecah RM308 juta.

Menurut kenyataan yang dikeluarkan semalam, Proton Holdings Bhd. akan memberi lesen jenama Lotusnya kepada 1MF1T.

Lesen kerjasama itu termasuk pelbagai faedah bagi Lotus dan juga Proton membabitkan perpindahan teknologi, hak pemasaran dan peluang pekerjaan, kedua-duanya dalam pasukan F1 negara di pusat tek- nikal kumpulan di Sepang dan pangkalan satelitnya di Norfolk, United Kingdom.

1MF1T merupakan projek yang dibiayai swasta dan dimiliki bersama oleh Tune Group, Kumpulan Naza dan Litespeed UK.

Tune Group dimiliki bersama oleh Ketua Pasukan 1MF1T, Datuk Seri Tony Fernandes dan Pengarah 1MF1T, Datuk Kamarudin Meranun.

Pengarah 1MF1T lain ialah Ketua Pegawai Eksekutif Kumpulan Naza, SM Nasarudin SM Nasimuddin dan Zahri Ismail dari 1Malaysia F1 Sdn. Bhd.

Kerajaan tidak memegang sebarang ekuiti dalam projek tersebut, sama ada secara langsung atau tidak langsung menerusi mana-mana syarikat berkaitan kerajaan.

Pasukan itu akan bekerjasama dengan Universiti Teknologi Malaysia (UTM) dan Universiti Teknologi Petronas (UTP) untuk membantu merealisasikan aspirasi mewujudkan kelas modal insan berintensifkan pe- ngetahuan dan teknologi tinggi bagi negara.

Composites Technology Research Malaysia (CTRM), pakar pengeluar bahan komposit utama, juga akan menjadi sebahagian daripada projek itu.

Perancangan sedang berjalan lancar untuk membangunkan pusat teknikal, penyelidikan dan pembangunan serta pembuatan Pasukan F1 1Malaysia di kawasan seluas lapan hektar di Litar Antarabangsa Sepang.

Fernandes menyifatkan pasukan itu sebagai suatu pencapaian luar biasa bagi semua rakyat Malaysia.

"Negara-negara lain berusaha keras membida peluang ini tetapi Malaysia menerusi usaha padu dan kekuatan dalam semangat sebenar 1Malaysia, berjaya meraihnya.

"Ini akan menjadi peluang terbaik bagi korporat Malaysia untuk berkongsi impian ini yang akhirnya menjadi satu kenyataan," katanya.

Fernandes berkata, projek itu akan membantu Malaysia menggerakkan rantaian nilai dengan memberi penekanan kepada inovasi dan teknologi.

"Setelah terlibat dengan dunia F1, kami sangat teruja Malaysia memiliki pasukan F1 sendiri dan faedah besar yang bakal diraih negara dari- padanya," katanya.

Fernandes juga berkata, pasukan itu gembira dapat bekerjasama dengan Proton yang membolehkan kedua-duanya menumpukan kepada perniagaan terasnya dan dalam masa yang sama saling berkongsi fae- dah daripada kerjasama tersebut.

"Saya juga amat gembira bahawa hubungan kami dengan CTRM dan SIC, dengan UTM dan UTP semakin kukuh setiap hari. Ia suatu penghor- matan besar untuk bekerjasama dengan institusi yang memartabatkan semangat wawasan 1Malaysia Perdana Menteri," katanya.

Pengarah Urusan Proton, Datuk Syed Zainal Abidin Syed Mohamed Tahir pula berkata, syarikat tersebut amat teruja dan menyokong inisiatif Malaysia itu.

"Menerusi perjanjian pelesenan antara Lotus dan pasukan itu, perkaitan jenama akan memberi faedah kepada Lotus dan juga Proton dan pastinya akan meningkatkan kesedaran jenama global," katanya.

Rajagobal Let Off The Hook

PETALING JAYA, April 24 (Bernama) -- National head coach Datuk K. Rajagobal was let off the hook by the Football Association of Malaysia's (FAM) Disciplinary Committee after finding no evidence that he had violated FAM's Article 88, as claimed.
