PSM tidak wajar perbesarkan isu pemotongan geran: MOM

PEMOTONGAN geran seharusnya tidak dijadikan isu oleh Persatuan Sepak Takraw Malaysia (PSM) sebaliknya adalah lebih bijak berfikiran rasional dengan mengkaji secara mendalam sebab kekalahan skuad di Laos untuk tampil lebih cemerlang di Sukan Asia 2010 di Guangzhou.

Setiausaha Kehormat Majlis Olimpik Malaysia (MOM), Datuk Sieh Kok Chi, berkata adalah lebih baik PSM dan juga Majlis Sukan Negara (MSN) bertenang dan mendahulukan kepentingan sepak takraw kerana kurang setahun saja lagi skuad negara akan berdepan cabaran lebih sengit di Guangzhou.

“Tidak ada guna untuk berbalah... ia tidak akan membawa keuntungan,” kata Kok Chi. “Adalah lebih baik bagi PSM menggerakkan semula jentera mereka, mengkaji di mana silapnya perencanaan di Laos dan kemudian bangkit lebih hebat dan bersemangat di Sukan Asia.


PSM tidak mempunyai banyak masalah lebih, biar kita fokus kepada isu sebenarnya iaitu kegagalan skuad di Laos dan cari jalan untuk memperbaiki keadaan.

“Malah saya yakin bahawa PSM boleh mencontohi skuad bola sepak, yang sering diperlekeh dan dikritik termasuk di Sukan Sea tetapi bangkit membuktikan sebaliknya dengan kejayaan gemilang di Vientiane.

“PSM boleh mencontohi. Justeru, tumpukan sepenuh perhatian untuk bangkit dan menafikan segala kritikan di Guangzhou nanti,” katanya.

Malah, Kok Chi turut mencadangkan supaya PSM melihat kepada kemungkinan untuk menumpukan kepada hanya satu acara sama ada berpasukan atau pun regu di Guangzhou nanti.

“Mungkin kita boleh mencuri salah satu pingat emas di Guangzhou sama ada dalam berpasukan atau pun regu bergantung di mana kekuatan skuad,” kata Kok Chi. “Jika kita berkeyakinan dalam regu, kita perlu memfokuskan untuk gandingan yang kuat... mungkin peluang kita meraih emas lebih cerah.”

Rajagobal Let Off The Hook

PETALING JAYA, April 24 (Bernama) -- National head coach Datuk K. Rajagobal was let off the hook by the Football Association of Malaysia's (FAM) Disciplinary Committee after finding no evidence that he had violated FAM's Article 88, as claimed.
