Piala Dunia singgah di Malaysia hari ini selepas Jakarta

JAKARTA - Piala Dunia akan tiba di Malaysia hari ini selepas sambutan hangat diberikan kira-kira 10,000 peminat bola sepak Indonesia dalam siri jelajah yang dibawakan khas oleh jenama minuman ringan terkenal, Coca-Cola di sini, semalam.

Tanpa mengenal penat, jemu dan panas terik, ribuan peminat termasuk pelajar sekolah malahan dari segenap lapisan masyarakat sanggup berbaris panjang menanti giliran untuk melihat trofi teragung bola sepak itu.
Indonesia menjadi negara yang ke-83 di dunia menerima kedatangan trofi itu dalam siri jelajah yang bergerak dari Ibu pejabat Persekutuan Bola Sepak Antarabangsa (FIFA) di Zurich, Switzerland sejak 21 September tahun lalu.


Jakarta merupakan kota raya Asia keempat, disinggahi trofi yang bakal menjadi rebutan 32 negara pada pusingan akhir Piala Dunia di Afrika Selatan mulai Jun hingga Julai ini selepas Calcutta (India) pada 17 Januari, Ho Chi Minh (Vietnam), 20 Januari dan Bangkok (Thailand), 23 Januari.
Kelmarin, rombongan jelajah berkenaan di samping Menteri Pembangunan Pemuda dan Olahraga Indonesia, Andi Mallarangeng turut membawa trofi Piala Dunia untuk tatapan dan Presiden Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono di kediaman rasmi beliau di sini.

Pengarah Urusan Coca-Cola Indonesia, Torsten Kuenzlen berkata: "Ini merupakan kali kedua trofi Piala Dunia dipamerkan kepada peminat bola sepak di Indonesia. Kami gembira dapat membantu menyebarkan semangat, keseronokan dan nilai positif orang ramai di sini ketika mengalu-alukan kedatangannya."
Jurucakap FIFA bagi jelajah itu, Lingling Liu berkata, ini merupakan peluang keemasan dan jarang diperoleh seumur hidup buat peminat bola sepak sekali gus menjayakan matlamat kami mencetuskan keceriaan berterusan dan ke arah menyaksikan dunia yang lebih baik buat semua.

Jelajah Trofi Piala Dunia FIFA turut akan singgah ke Mid Valley Megamall, Kuala Lumpur pada Jumaat ini malah sehari sebelumnya, piala keramat itu akan dipersembahkan untuk dipegang seorang pemimpin negara sebagai meneruskan tradisinya pada setiap negara yang dilawati.

Pada 2006 sempena menghangatkan Piala Dunia di Jerman ketika itu, ribuan peminat bola sepak Malaysia berpeluang menatap trofi setinggi 36.8 sentimeter dan seberat 6,175 gram serta diperbuat daripada emas tulen 18 karat ini apabila ia dipamerkan di Berjaya Times Square Mall, Kuala Lumpur.

Sejak diperkenalkan pada 1974, trofi ini sudah dimenangi Jerman (juga 1990), Argentina (1978 dan 1986), Itali (1982 dan 2006), Brazil (1994 dan 2002) dan Perancis (1998).

Mereka yang memenanginya, berhak menyimpannya sehingga pusingan akhir empat tahun kemudiannya malah di bawahnya, akan diukir nama negara itu tetapi si juara cuma akan diberikan sebuah replika saduran emas dan bukannya trofi sebenar emas tulen.

Rajagobal Let Off The Hook

Rajagobal was let off the hook by the Football Association of Malaysia's (FAM) Disciplinary Committee after finding no evidence that he had violated FAM's Article 88, as claimed.
