VETERAN athlete Asir Victor, 70, will compete in the six-day World Masters Athletics Indoor Championship in Kamloops, Canada from Monday.
For Asir, this is the second veteran competition after he competed in the same event in Finland last year where he clocked 13.9s in the heats.
Asir was a well known 400 metre runner who won silver medals in the one lap race at three Asian Games in Jakarta (1962) and Bangkok (1966, 1970).
Asir grabbed 14 gold medals in the 400 metres individual and relay events at seven Sea Games.
He also competed in the same event in three Olympic Games in Tokyo (1964), Mexico (1968) and Munich (1972).
