Medan wanita ke Dubai


NOOR AZIAN ALIAS antara pelumba basikal wanita negara ketika ini.

HAMPIR 100 pelumba dari seluruh negara dijangka menyertai Kejohanan Lumba Basikal Terbuka Kedah yang akan berlangsung di Alor Setar esok hingga Ahad ini.

Presiden Persatuan Berbasikal Negeri Kedah Darul Aman (PBNKD), Omar Saad berkata, acara kriterium akan melibatkan pelumba lelaki manakala bagi kategori 40 kilometer (km) ujian masa dan 120km lepas beramai-ramai melibatkan pelumba wanita.

"Kejohanan itu akan menjadi medan pemilihan pelumba wanita ke Kejohanan Lumba Basikal Asia (ACC) di Dubai, April depan," jelas Omar di Ipoh semalam.


Beliau turut berharap lebih ramai pelumba wanita akan 'turun' ke Alor Setar untuk menyertai kejohanan berkenaan.

"Negara kita masih kekurangan pelumba wanita untuk ditonjolkan ke peringkat antarabangsa," tambahnya.

Rajagobal Let Off The Hook

PETALING JAYA, April 24 (Bernama) -- National head coach Datuk K. Rajagobal was let off the hook by the Football Association of Malaysia's (FAM) Disciplinary Committee after finding no evidence that he had violated FAM's Article 88, as claimed. FAM Disciplinary Committee chairman Datuk Taufik Abdul Razak said the committee had decided not to charge Rajagobal after carefully analysing the video of the post-match press conference by the 56-year-old coach.
