Mun Yee ceria Pandelela pulih

WAJAH penerjun wanita negara, Leong Mun Yee jelas membayangkan betapa cerianya selepas mendapat tahu gandingannya, Pandelela Rinong semakin pulih daripada kecederaan belakang dialaminya.
Melalui pemeriksaan dijalankan di Institut Sukan Negara (ISN) semalam, mendapati penerjun kelahiran Sarawak itu boleh meneruskan saingan termasuk Siri Super di China bulan depan. “Memang itulah saya harapkan kerana selama ini, hanya dialah gandingan paling sesuai dengan saya.

Setakat ini, saya tidak pernah digandingkan dengan penerjun lain selain dia. “Kami bakal menjalani latihan seperti biasa walaupun jadual latihan antara kami tidak selari memandangkan saya terikat dengan pembelajaran,” kata penuntut Universiti Putra Malaysia (UPM). Mun Yee/Pandelela digandingkan dalam acara 10m platform berirama mencipta kejutan ketika Grand Prix di Rome, Itali tahun lalu untuk mengutip gangsa dan kecemerlangan mereka terus berulang ketika Sukan Sea Laos, hujung tahun lalu dalam acara sama untuk meraih emas. Sebelum ini, Pandelela berganding bersama Cheong Jun Hong dalam acara sama di Korat, Thailand dua tahun lalu dan memenangi emas namun, gandingan itu 'dipisahkan' bagi memberi laluan kepada penerjun berpengalaman, Mun Yee beraksi dalam acara itu. Bagi Pandelela, berita itu memang dinanti-nantikan kerana dia sendiri risau sama ada dapat beraksi atau sebaliknya. “Pemeriksaan mendapati, kecederaan belakang saya semakin pulih.

Doktor yang membuat pemeriksaan menjelaskan semuanya OK. “Ini bermakna, penantian saya sudah berakhir.


Jika sebelum ini, memang ada kesakitan apatah lagi banyak kejohanan bakal disertai dalam tempoh terdekat ini,” katanya.

Govt Always Gives Emphasis To Sporting Culture, Says PM

KUALA TERENGGANU, May 29 (Bernama) -- Datuk Seri Abdullah Ahmad Badaw i said the government always gives emphasis on cultivating a strong sporting culture in achieving excellence at the international level. Rajagobal Let Off The Hook

PETALING JAYA, April 24 (Bernama) -- National head coach Datuk K. Rajagobal was let off the hook by the Football Association of Malaysia's (FAM) Disciplinary Committee after finding no evidence that he had violated FAM's Article 88, as claimed. FAM Disciplinary Committee chairman Datuk Taufik Abdul Razak said the committee had decided not to charge Rajagobal after carefully analysing the video of the post-match press conference by the 56-year-old coach.
