Pesaka yakin kekal 7 emas Kejuaraan Silat Dunia



EMY menang pingat emas Kelas C bawah 60kg wanita Sukan Sea 2009.
KEUPAYAAN pesilat negara meraih empat pingat emas pada temasya Sukan Sea di Laos meyakinkan Persatuan Silat Kebangsaan Malaysia (Pesaka) untuk mengekalkan pungutan tujuh emas pada Kejuaraan Silat Dunia di Singapura, November ini.

Penyelaras Pesaka, Osman Nok berkata sasaran itu tidak mustahil untuk dicapai berdasarkan program latihan pusat yang dikendalikan Majlis Sukan Negara (MSN) yang akan bermula awal Mac ini.

“Kita yakin mampu mengekalkan jumlah pungutan pingat yang dimenangi di Kuantan, Pahang pada 2007,” katanya, semalam.

Osman berkata seramai 29 pesilat elit kebangsaan akan menyertai latihan pusat yang dibahagikan kepada dua sesi, bermula dengan 12 orang pada bulan Mac sementara baki 17 pesilat akan menyertai mereka bermula dari Ogos sehingga Disember.

Pada Sukan Sea 2009, pesilat negara memperoleh empat emas dan enam gangsa. Ia dimenangi Faizal Abdullah (Kelas H bawah 85kg lelaki), Mohd Fauzi Khalid (Kelas F bawah 75kg lelaki), Mohd Hafiz Mahari (Kelas A bawah 50kg lelaki) dan Emy Latip (Kelas C bawah 60kg wanita). - Bernama

Rajagobal Let Off The Hook

PETALING JAYA, April 24 (Bernama) -- National head coach Datuk K. Rajagobal was let off the hook by the Football Association of Malaysia's (FAM) Disciplinary Committee after finding no evidence that he had violated FAM's Article 88, as claimed. FAM Disciplinary Committee chairman Datuk Taufik Abdul Razak said the committee had decided not to charge Rajagobal after carefully analysing the video of the post-match press conference by the 56-year-old coach.
