Although Kim Her was initially sought by BAM to guide elite pairs Koo Kien Keat-Tan Boon Heong and Zakry Latif-Fairuzizuan Tazari with the Thomas Cup in mind, Rexy has hinted the former South Korea and England coach will look after the back-up pairs.
Kim Her has kept an open mind and will accept Rexy's decision on which group of players he will guide.
"As the chief coach, it will be Rexy's call on which squad of players I will coach. If it is the back-up players, then I need to know exactly who are the pairs I will take charge of," said Kim Her.
"I am aware that one or two pairs could be promoted to the elite squad and this is why it is important for me to know where my services are needed.

"I have no problems working with Rexy as we played in the same era and we should have no problems in our working relationship.
"Our intention is to improve Malaysian doubles and if we work towards that goal, I don't see any problem."
Rexy is said to be keen on seeing Kim Her focusing on the back-up pairs but the former kept his plans close to his chest yesterday.
"Our coaching strength is sufficient with the arrival of Kim Her and we must utilise it well. Kim Her has got the experience of working in two countries and I will propose to the coaching and training committee on his role in the national team," said Rexy.
"His presence is important with the Thomas Cup fast approaching and I also want to listen to him before we decide on the pairs he is going to work with."
Among the pairs who can benefit training under Kim Her are Mak Hee Chun-Tan Wee Keong, Ong Soon Hock-Hoon Thien How and Chan Peng Soon-Lim Khim Wah.
They are currently under Pang Cheh Chang but the expected reshuffle could see Kim Her beginning his work as the back-up coach next week.
