Aksi di China ganti Trofi Cabaran Asia

KUALA LUMPUR - Ekoran pembatalan pertandingan Trofi Cabaran Asia yang sepatutnya berlangsung di Ipoh, bulan depan, Persekutuan Hoki Malaysia (PHM) terpaksa mencari alternatif lain bagi memantapkan persediaan skuad negara.

Timbalan Presiden PHM, Nur Azmi Ahmad berkata, perlawanan kompetitif antarabangsa sedang diusahakan, bagi memastikan prestasi pemain dikekalkan.

"PHM ada menerima tawaran dari China untuk beraksi dalam beberapa perlawanan persahabatan di negara Tembok Besar itu.

"Namun, ia belum diputuskan dan akan dibincangkan pada mesyuarat Exco PHM 3 April ini," katanya ketika dihubungi, semalam.


Trofi Cabaran Asia terpaksa dibatalkan di atas permintaan Pakistan dan Korea Selatan, yang tidak dapat menyertainya, kerana masalah teknikal.

Sehubungan penarikan diri dua negara itu, PHM mengambil keputusan untuk membatalkan kejohanan tersebut.

Nur Azmi berkata, perancangan mempersiap dan memantapkan pasukan hoki negara akan diputuskan pada mesyuarat Exco tersebut.

Katanya, PHM akan menerima cadangan dari dua jurulatih negara, Tai Beng Hai dan Stephen Van Huizen mengenai perancangan baru yang akan dilaksanakan bulan depan.

Sehubungan itu katanya, cadangan yang diterima dari jurulatih tersebut akan dibincangkan pada mesyuarat Exco, selain PHM juga akan memikirkan perancangan lain buat skuad kebangsaan.

Menurutnya, kejohanan paling hampir yang bakal ditempuhi skuad hoki negara adalah Piala Sultan Azlan Shah, Mei ini.
Dalam pada itu, Nur Azmi berkata, Piala Razak yang berlangsung hari ini sehingga 4 April depan, akan membantu pemain negara dalam mengekalkan mutu permainan terbaik.

"Semua pemain skuad negara akan beraksi dengan pasukan negeri masing-masing bagi menghadapi persaingan Piala Razak di Kuantan, Pahang.

"Saya berharap kejohanan ini akan menjadi cabaran kepada pemain negara untuk meningkatkan mutu permainan dan mengekalkan prestasi semasa," katanya.

Rajagobal Let Off The Hook

PETALING JAYA, April 24 (Bernama) -- National head coach Datuk K. Rajagobal was let off the hook by the Football Association of Malaysia's (FAM) Disciplinary Committee after finding no evidence that he had violated FAM's Article 88, as claimed.
