Azizulhasni masih boleh berbangga rangkul perak


AZIZULHASNI menunjukkan pingat perak yang dimenanginya dalam acara keirin pada Kejohanan Trek Dunia di Copenhagen, Denmark semalam.


BIARPUN gagal dalam misinya melunas- kan dendam terhadap Chris Hoy, pelumba sensasi negara, Mohd. Azizulhasni Awang tetap menjadi kebanggaan rakyat Malay- sia.

Awal pagi semalam, pelumba kelahiran Dungun, Terengganu itu menghadiahkan pingat perak pertama kepada Malaysia dalam acara keirin pada Kejohanan Lumba Basikal Trek Dunia 2010 di Copenha- gen, Denmark.
Biarpun berjaya melakar sejarah tersendiri dengan kejayaannya itu, Azizul- hasni mengakui, dia masih kecewa kerana gagal membalas dendam ke atas Hoy yang juga pemenang pingat emas Sukan Olimpik 2008.

"Saya sangat kecewa kerana gagal menebus kekalahan kepada Chris," kata Azizulhasni kepada Kosmo! semalam.


"Pada pecutan terakhir, saya sudah bersedia untuk memintas Hoy tetapi terganggu oleh 'serangan' daripada pelumba Jerman, Levy Maxmillian.

"Oleh kerana gangguan daripada Maxmilian, saya tidak dapat cukup masa untuk memintas Hoy," katanya lagi.

Azizulhasni, 21, turun pada aksi final semalam dengan harapan menebus keka- lahan kepada Hoy selepas dia kecundang kepada musuh tradisinya itu pada saingan suku akhir Sukan Olimpik 2008 di Beijing, China.

Pada aksi final yang melibatkan lapan pusingan itu, Azizulhasni yang digelar The Pocketrocketman berjaya mengekori rapat Hoy sepanjang lima pusingan awal.

Namun, Hoy mula memecut pada pusi- ngan terakhir untuk meninggalkan Azizulhasni di tempat kedua.
Begitupun, Azizulhasni masih mampu menebus kekecewaannya itu apabila dia sekali lagi berpeluang berentap dengan jaguh sensasi Britain itu dalam acara pecut yang bermula hari ini.

Rajagobal Let Off The Hook

PETALING JAYA, April 24 (Bernama) -- National head coach Datuk K. Rajagobal was let off the hook by the Football Association of Malaysia's (FAM) Disciplinary Committee after finding no evidence that he had violated FAM's Article 88, as claimed. FAM Disciplinary Committee chairman Datuk Taufik Abdul Razak said the committee had decided not to charge Rajagobal after carefully analysing the video of the post-match press conference by the 56-year-old coach.
