Dua beradik rentas Selat Melaka

PORT DICKSON - Dua perenang muda negara kategori jarak jauh berjaya menamatkan renangan merentasi Selat Melaka sejauh 60 kilometer (km) di sini semalam sekali gus mengukir nama dalam Malaysia Book of Records (MBOR).

Pasangan adik-beradik itu, Zahra Masoumah Abdul Halim, 18, dan Salman Ali Shariati, 12, melengkapkan renangan selama 23 jam bermula dari Tanjung Medang, Pulau Rupat, Indonesia dan berakhir di pantai Batu Empat dekat sini.

Salman Ali yang memulakan renangan kira-kira pukul 1.20 petang kelmarin tiba di sini pada pukul 12.20 tengah hari sekali gus diktiraf sebagai perenang termuda bagi jarak jauh.

Rajagobal Let Off The Hook

PETALING JAYA, April 24 (Bernama) -- National head coach Datuk K. Rajagobal was let off the hook by the Football Association of Malaysia's (FAM) Disciplinary Committee after finding no evidence that he had violated FAM's Article 88, as claimed. FAM Disciplinary Committee chairman Datuk Taufik Abdul Razak said the committee had decided not to charge Rajagobal after carefully analysing the video of the post-match press conference by the 56-year-old coach.
