Qabil sasar pingat emas Sukan Asia

KUALA LUMPUR 22 Mac — Selepas meraih hanya satu perak dan satu gangsa pada Sukan Asia di Doha, Qatar, penunggang ekuestrian elit negara Qabil Ambak Mahamad Fathil kini mensasarkan pingat emas pada Sukan Asia di Guangzhou, China November ini.

Qabil yang akan bertanding dalam kategori “Show Jumping” dan “Dressage” di Guangzhou berkata beliau kini membuat persediaan rapi dan akan menyertai pelbagai kejohanan di dalam dan luar negara.

"Saya berharap akan menyandang gelaran juara Show Jumping Piala Dunia yang akan di adakan di Geneva, Switzerland pada 14 hingga 18 April depan,” katanya kepada Bernama, di sini hari ini.



Sebagai persediaan untuk menghadapi cabaran di Guangzhou nanti, jaguh ekuestrian negara itu akan menjalani latihan di Kelab 3Q Ekuestrian di Kuang dan di Eropah selama tiga bulan, serta bertanding di lima kejohanan tempatan.

Qabil berkata, beliau juga akan menyertai Kejohanan Premier Cup 2010 yang bakal berlangsung di Putrajaya pada bulan Mei dan Julai serta Terbuka Malaysia, Masters Merdeka dan 3Q Classic di Kelab 3Q Ekuestrian, Kuang.

Qabil akan dilatih oleh jurulatihnya dan penunggang Olimpik Belanda Wim Schroeder dan akan menunggang kuda kegemarannya, ”Amadeus Van De Boswinning” dan ”Parvina” bagi mengharungi semua kejohanan tahun ini.

Penungggang kuda negara berusia 30 tahun yang akan bertolak ke Eropah pada Ogos ini juga akan menggunakan khidmat jurulatih Lars Bak Anderson dari Denmark. - Bernama

Rajagobal Let Off The Hook

PETALING JAYA, April 24 (Bernama) -- National head coach Datuk K. Rajagobal was let off the hook by the Football Association of Malaysia's (FAM) Disciplinary Committee after finding no evidence that he had violated FAM's Article 88, as claimed.
