FAM rehat semua pengendali Harimau Muda

PERSATUAN Bola Sepak Malaysia (FAM) mengambil keputusan merehatkan kesemua barisan pengendali skuad Harimau Muda termasuk ketua jurulatih, Mohd Azraai Khor Abdullah berkuat kuasa semalam dengan nasib mereka akan diputuskan pada mesyuarat Jawatankuasa Teknikal, Rabu depan.

Selain Mohd Azraai, penolong, Azman Eusoff dan jurulatih penjaga gol, P Mohana Sundram turut menerima keputusan sama dengan Mohd Azraai mengesahkan menerima surat tanpa menyatakan sebab sebenar FAM berbuat demikian

Setiausaha Agung badan induk itu, Datuk Azzuddin Ahmad mengesahkan tindakan untuk menggantung sementara tiga pengendali itu yang mengemudi barisan bawah 21 tahun beraksi dalam Liga Divisyen Satu Slovakia selama tiga bulan yang berakhir penghujung Mei namun enggan mengulas lanjut

Keputusan yang diambil sekalipun pun mendadak, sebenarnya tidak begitu mengejutkan dengan perkhabaran mengenai pertelingkahan antara Mohd Azraai dan Mohana ketika di Vion, sampai ke pengetahuan Wisma FAM.

Namun, Azuddin menafikan keputusan itu diambil atas pergeseran tersebut yang berlaku berikutan dakwaan bahawa pengarah teknikal di Slovakia yang ditugaskan untuk membantu pasukan sebaliknya mengambil alih kesemua tanggungjawab mereka

Ex-coach's jail sentence cut to a year

PUTRAJAYA: The Court of Appeal yesterday sentenced former athletics coach C. Ramanathan to 12 months' jail for molesting two junior athletes 19 years ago. A three-man bench led by Datuk Mohd Hishamudin Mohd Yunus unanimously dismissed Ramanathan's appeal against conviction, but varied the jail sentence of four years to a year, which was to run concurrently. Govt Always Gives Emphasis To Sporting Culture, Says PM

Rajagobal Let Off The Hook

PETALING JAYA, April 24 (Bernama) -- National head coach Datuk K. Rajagobal was let off the hook by the Football Association of Malaysia's (FAM) Disciplinary Committee after finding no evidence that he had violated FAM's Article 88, as claimed. FAM Disciplinary Committee chairman Datuk Taufik Abdul Razak said the committee had decided not to charge Rajagobal after carefully analysing the video of the post-match press conference by the 56-year-old coach.
