Wendy dahului blok pertama



WENDY Chai melakukan lontaran cemerlang untuk medahului blok pertama Kejohanan Boling Piala Dunia Qubicaamf ke-46 yang bermula di Toulong, Perancis kelmarin.

Pada lima permainan blok pertama itu, Wendy mencatat 193, 224, 258, 197 dan 254 untuk jumlah keseluruhan 1,126 jatuhan pin sekali gus mengatasi pencabarnya, Min Young-gye (Korea Sela- tan) dan Holly Fleming dari Scotland.

Ini merupakan penampilan kali ketiga Wendy pada kejohanan dunia.
"Bersikap Tenang serta mengukuhkan kekuatan mental adalah kunci terhadap prestasi cemerlang saya hari ini (kelmarin).
"Saya yakin melakukan yang lebih baik sekiranya mampu mengekalkan momentum hebat ini," kata Wendy.

Pada penampilan sulungnya di Latvia pada tahun 2002, Wendy sekadar menamatkan saingan di tempat kelima.
Selepas itu, dia terus mempamerkan peningkatan apabila menduduki tempat ketiga pada kejohanan yang sama di Ljubljana, Slovenia pada tahun berikutnya.

"Saya harap pada penampilan ketiga ini, saya mampu muncul juara," katanya sebaik menamatkan permainan blok pertama kelmarin.

Sejumlah 76 pemain wanita dari seluruh dunia mengambil bahagian pada kejohanan kali ini yang berlangsung di Pusat Boling Qubicaamf, Toulong.
Wendy meneruskan aksi pada blok kedua lewat malam tadi.

Rajagobal Let Off The Hook

PETALING JAYA, April 24 (Bernama) -- National head coach Datuk K. Rajagobal was let off the hook by the Football Association of Malaysia's (FAM) Disciplinary Committee after finding no evidence that he had violated FAM's Article 88, as claimed. FAM Disciplinary Committee chairman Datuk Taufik Abdul Razak said the committee had decided not to charge Rajagobal after carefully analysing the video of the post-match press conference by the 56-year-old coach.
