Tunjuk peningkatan - Rajagobal


RAJAGOBAL (kiri) mahu menjadikan Kejohanan Bola Sepak Piala AFF Suzuki di Indonesia bermula esok sebagai medan pendedahan buat barisan pemain muda negara.

BIARPUN Malaysia dianggap pasukan underdog pada Kejo- hanan Bola Sepak Piala AFF Suzuki 2010 di Indonesia yang dijadualkan bermula esok (1 Disember), namun jurulatih K. Rajagobal tetap yakin skuad bimbingannya mampu menyaingi kehebatan pasukan lawan.

Dengan sebilangan besar pemain yang disenaraikan adalah pemain muda, Rajago- bal berharap kejohanan itu dapat menjadi medan pendedahan untuk mereka melangkah jauh sebagai pemain profesional.

"Sudah pasti dalam setiap pertandingan kita mengharapkan kemenangan, namun sudah cukup bagi saya jika pemain kita mampu menunjukkan peningkatan ketika beraksi nanti," katanya semalam.
Mengulas mengenai saingan yang bakal dihadapi pada kejohanan itu kelak, beliau berkata, halangan besar yang perlu dihadapi ialah Indonesia yang mempunyai kelebihan sebagai tuan rumah serta musuh tradisi, Thailand yang merupakan naib johan edisi 2008.

Rajagobal berkata, sekiranya skuad negara berjaya memperoleh kejayaan, ia adalah bonus bagi pasukannya tetapi beliau tetap realistik dalam membuat sasaran dengan mengambil kira kekuatan pasukan lawan.
Pada 2008, Malaysia hanya mampu menumpaskan Laos pada saingan pertama.
Vietnam muncul juara pada kejohanan edisi 2008 itu.


Malaysia yang diundi dalam Kumpulan A, dijadualkan menentang Indonesia (1 Disember) diikuti Thailand (4 Disember) dan Laos pada 7 Disember. - Bernama

Govt Always Gives Emphasis To Sporting Culture, Says PM

Rajagobal Let Off The Hook

PETALING JAYA, April 24 (Bernama) -- National head coach Datuk K. Rajagobal was let off the hook by the Football Association of Malaysia's (FAM) Disciplinary Committee after finding no evidence that he had violated FAM's Article 88, as claimed. FAM Disciplinary Committee chairman Datuk Taufik Abdul Razak said the committee had decided not to charge Rajagobal after carefully analysing the video of the post-match press conference by the 56-year-old coach.
