Subahan: Pemain tidak gentar


BARISAN wira negara yang akan berjuang menjulang nama Malaysia di bumi Indonesia malam ini kecuali Amirulhadi Zainal (berdiri tiga dari kanan) dan Mahali Jasuli (depan dua dari kanan) yang terlepas aksi akibat menerima kad kuning kedua.


JAKARTA - Pengurus pasukan kebangsaan, Datuk Subahan Kamal sudah mendapat hadiah hari jadi ke-45 yang cukup bermakna pada Ahad lalu apabila Malaysia menewaskan Indonesia 3-0 pada final pertama Piala Suzuki AFF 2010.

Namun, kejuaraan mutlak hanya akan diperoleh jika Malaysia berjaya mempertahankan kelebihan tersebut selepas tamat aksi final kedua di Stadium Utama Gelora Bung Karno di sini malam ini.
Menurut Subahan, beliau cukup yakin bahawa barisan pemain muda negara tidak akan menghadapi masalah untuk menangani tekanan yang bakal dihadirkan para penyokong fanatik Indonesia sepanjang baki 90 minit perlawanan.

"Saya rasa mental para pemain tiada masalah. Sebelum latihan semalam (kelmarin) saya sudah jumpa mereka dan meminta agar beri fokus sepenuhnya. Jangan fikir hal-hal lain.

"Saya yakin para pemain mampu menyerap tekanan walaupun penyokong Indonesia ini agak fanatik. Kami tak gentar dan yakin Piala Suzuki AFF akan dijulang Malaysia," katanya ketika ditemui di Hotel Sultan di sini semalam.

Subahan yang sudah setahun setengah menggalas tugas seba- gai pengurus skuad kebangsaan berkata, kekalahan 1-5 kepada Indonesia pada 1 Disember lalu menjadi titik kebangkitan mereka pada kejohanan kali ini.

"Situasi kita ini sama seperti Sukan SEA 2009 apabila kita tewas kepada Vietnam pada aksi pertama tetapi akhirnya menewaskan lawan yang sama pada final.

"Pada Piala Suzuki AFF ini, selepas tewas 1-5 kepada Indone- sia, saya beritahu pemain bahawa kita mesti muncul juara dan berjumpa semula Indonesia di final. Misi ini hampir tercapai," jelasnya.

Subahan yang juga Pengerusi Jawatankuasa Media Persatuan Bola Sepak Malaysia (FAM) turut kesal dengan media Indone- sia yang gagal membantu menjernihkan ketegangan kedua-dua negara.

"Saya lihat media di sini langsung tidak membantu. Mereka lebih mengapi-apikan penyokong Indonesia dengan membangkitkan pelbagai isu remeh dan laporan berunsur provokasi.

"Apa yang saya nampak, mereka seolah-olah tidak dapat menerima kenyataan yang pasukan mereka tewas 0-3 di tangan kita," ujarnya.

Rajagobal Let Off The Hook

PETALING JAYA, April 24 (Bernama) -- National head coach Datuk K. Rajagobal was let off the hook by the Football Association of Malaysia's (FAM) Disciplinary Committee after finding no evidence that he had violated FAM's Article 88, as claimed. FAM Disciplinary Committee chairman Datuk Taufik Abdul Razak said the committee had decided not to charge Rajagobal after carefully analysing the video of the post-match press conference by the 56-year-old coach.
