Sedia terima apa jua keputusan Misbun 1 April ini - Razali

MUAR - Apa jua keputusan yang akan dibuat oleh bekas jurulatih badminton negara, Datuk Misbun Sidek berhubung kedudukannya di dalam Persatuan Badminton Malaysia (BAM) pada 1 April ini perlu dihormati dan diterima baik oleh semua pihak.

Timbalan Menteri Belia dan Sukan, Datuk Razali Ibrahim berkata, polemik yang berlaku tidak sewajarnya dibiarkan berlarutan kerana ia hanya menjejaskan persiapan negara untuk meraih pingat emas pada Sukan Olimpik 2012 menerusi jaguh badminton negara, Datuk Lee Chong Wei.

"Kita tidak mahu sebarang tekanan diberikan dalam tempoh seminggu ini, biarlah Datuk Misbun sendiri yang buat keputusan.

"Apa jua perkara yang diputuskan oleh beliau akan kita hormati dan akan kita terima.
"Kita berharap isu ini akan selesai dan selepas 1 April ini, kita akan dapat melihat ke hadapan dan buat perancangan di atas keputusan yang telah dibuat," katanya selepas Majlis Meraikan Pelajar-Pelajar Cemerlang Sijil Pelajaran Malaysia (SPM) peringkat Parlimen Muar di Parit Raja, semalam.

Misbun meletak jawatan sebagai jurulatih perseorangan pada 31 Disember lalu dan sikap membisu beliau itu menyaksikan kemelut yang berlarutan hampir tiga bulan belum menemui titik penyelesaian.

Razali berharap tiada pihak yang akan mengungkit keputusan yang dibuat oleh Misbun kelak, kerana ia akan hanya menyukarkan lagi persiapan, mental serta latihan kepada Chong Wei untuk mengekalkan prestasi terbaiknya.

"Isu ini sangat rumit tapi kita dapat buat pertemuan dan perbincangan dengan Kementerian sebagai koordinator antara BAM dengan pihak Misbun, bagaimanapun, perkara ini tidak boleh terlalu lama sehingga menjadi polemik," katanya lagi.

Ujar beliau, negara sememangnya meletakkan sasaran untuk meraih emas pertama pada Sukan Olimpik menerusi Chong Wei selain daripada jaguh berbasikal trek negara, Azizulhasni Awang serta atlet terjun negara, Pandelela Rinong.

Rajagobal Let Off The Hook

PETALING JAYA, April 24 (Bernama) -- National head coach Datuk K. Rajagobal was let off the hook by the Football Association of Malaysia's (FAM) Disciplinary Committee after finding no evidence that he had violated FAM's Article 88, as claimed. FAM Disciplinary Committee chairman Datuk Taufik Abdul Razak said the committee had decided not to charge Rajagobal after carefully analysing the video of the post-match press conference by the 56-year-old coach.
