KUALA LUMPUR, May 26 (Bernama) -- National Sports Council director-general Datuk Zolkples Embong warned technical officials not to be biased in judging subjective sports at Kuala Lumpur Malaysian Games.
"I don't want to see elements of bias, given the many subjective sports," he said when briefing Sportswriters Association Malaysia (SAM) Exco members at Bukit Jalil Thursday.
Zolkples who is also 2011 Kuala Lumpur Malaysian Games Organising Committee chairman said it will monitor the situation during the event from June 2-12.
"Should there be elements of bias and controversy, the sports may not be listed in future Malaysian games. Don't let athletes become the victims."
He hopes that athletes taking part in measureable events could register national records at the 14th Malaysian Games.
