KELANA JAYA, May 29 (Bernama) -- The friendly between the national squad and Hong Kong in the Special Administrative Territory on Friday will serve as the platform for naming the final lineup for the Malaysian team, said national chief coach K. Rajagobal.
"I want to see how each player performs in preparing Malaysia's squad for the 2014 World Cup in Brazil," he told reporters here Sunday.
He said this was the reason why he included nine new players in the lineup.
Twenty-one players reported for a training camp here ahead of Friday's match except for Safee Sali, Baddrol Bakhtiar and Abdul Hadi Hamid who will be reporting in tomorrow.
Of the trio yet to report in, Safee is currently playing for Pelita Jaya in Indonesia.
Only 22 will be making the flight to Hong Kong.
Among those in the reckoning are Nasril Nourdin, Syed Adney Syed Hussein,Nasriq Baharom, Hisyamudin Shaari, Helmi Remeli, Shahrom Kalam, Farisham Ismail, Ismail Faruqi Ashari, Abdul Hadi Yahaya and Safee Sali.
