'Noktah terakhir isu rasuah'

PENYERANG Harimau Malaya, Abdul Hadi Yahya mahu kemenangan membenam Myanmar 2-0 dalam aksi persahabatan di Kota Bharu kelmarin, dijadikan ‘noktah terakhir’ kepada desas-desus yang mengatakan pemain kebangsaan terbabit dengan isu rasuah.

Sambil mengharapkan skuad negara tidak lagi dikaitkan dengan perkara ‘jijik’itu, penyerang Terengganu itu turut menyimpan hasrat supaya semangat juang rakan-rakannya yang lain tidak terganggu bagi meneruskan misi lebih mencabar terutama menghadapi kelayakan Piala Dunia 2014 menentang Taiwan, hujung bulan ini.
“Puncanya mungkin daripada dua pasukan yang beraksi dalam Piala Presiden dan isu itu terus merebak hingga mengaitkan dengan pemain pasukan kebangsaan. Saya percaya rakan-rakan dalam skuad kebangsaan tidak terbabit dengan perkara ini.

“Saya sebenarnya kecewa dengan isu itu kerana saya percaya 100 peratus pemain kebangsaan tidak terbabit dengan gejala tidak bermoral itu. Saya harap dengan kemenangan ini, tiada lagi cakap-cakap berkenaan isu itu kerana ia sedikit sebanyak mengganggu fikiran pemain,” katanya yang diberi kepercayaan buat kali kedua menyarung jersi kebangsaan selepas bertemu Hong Kong, awal bulan lalu.

Pemain 26 tahun itu berkata, biarpun nasibnya untuk menyertai skuad kebangsaan menghadapi kelayakan Piala Dunia masih samar, dia berjanji untuk menampilkan persembahan terbaiknya andai diberi kepercayaan ketua jurulatih kebangsaan, Datuk K Rajagobal.

“Saya dipanggil untuk dinilai prestasi dan sudah tentu jika diberi peluang, saya akan lakukan yang terbaik untuk pasukan negara,” katanya yang turut mengidamkan aksi berdepan gergasi Inggeris - Liverpool, Chelsea dan Arsenal - yang bertandang ke Malaysia bulan depan.

Rajagobal Let Off The Hook

PETALING JAYA, April 24 (Bernama) -- National head coach Datuk K. Rajagobal was let off the hook by the Football Association of Malaysia's (FAM) Disciplinary Committee after finding no evidence that he had violated FAM's Article 88, as claimed. FAM Disciplinary Committee chairman Datuk Taufik Abdul Razak said the committee had decided not to charge Rajagobal after carefully analysing the video of the post-match press conference by the 56-year-old coach. "After listening to the recording of the post-match press conference, we decided to drop the charge against Rajagopal as he did not make such a statement.
