Malaysia tewas angkara servis longlai

KUALA LUMPUR - Kegagalan regu negara memanfaatkan servis yang lebih banyak terkandas mahupun mudah disambut Thailand, menjadi punca kekalahan mudah anak buah Jamaluddin Hassan 0-3 dalam perlawanan akhir Sepak Takraw Piala Dunia Kuala Lumpur 2011, semalam.

Sistem baru kiraan 15 mata selain servis tiga kali berturut-turut dan bergilir dengan lawan yang diperkenalkan sejak Januari lalu, tidak banyak membantu menjulang prestasi tuan rumah biarpun bertemankan sokongan hampir 2,000 penyokong yang membanjiri Stadium Titiwangsa.

Kata Jamaluddin: "Servis dalam sistem baru ini menjadi penentu perlawanan ini. Kita lebih banyak terkandas, terkeluar atau masih boleh disambut Thailand tetapi kita pula gagal mematahkan giliran lawan. Kita juga banyak kerugian mata apatah lagi dengan kawalan gelanggang yang kurang kemas.
"Rejaman Norshahruddin juga sentiasa berdepan dengan hadangan Pornchai Kaokaew selain pertahanan mantap regu mereka. Berilah saya masa dalam empat bulan ini (menjelang Sukan SEA Indonesia, November) untuk kembali menghasilkan sebuah regu emas (berciri-ciri juara)," katanya.

Turut hadir menyaksikan perlawanan akhir kejohanan anjuran Persekutuan Sepak Takraw Antarabangsa (Istaf) itu ialah Ketua Pengarah Majlis Sukan Negara, Datuk Zolkples Embong dan Pengerusi Eksekutif Kumpulan Utusan, Tan Sri Mohamed Hashim Ahmad Makaruddin.
Utusan Malaysia turut menjadi akhbar rasmi kejohanan sulung selama empat hari sejak Khamis lalu yang berjaya menarik penyertaan 36 regu lelaki dan wanita dari 24 negara Asia, Oceania dan Eropah.
Sementara itu, Presiden Persatuan Sepak Takraw Malaysia (PSM), Datuk Ahmad Ismail akur dengan kehebatan musuh tradisi itu yang mungkin dipengaruhi tekanan pemain tertentu dalam berdepan kehadiran dan harapan tinggi ribuan penonton sehingga corak permainan mereka serba tidak menjadi.

"Saya tidak salahkan kehadiran ramai dan sokongan padu penonton malah mengalu-alukannya tetapi kita kena akui kita masih lemah dalam membuat dan menyambut servis. Perlawanan akhir itu juga menunjukkan lonjakan apit kanan sentiasa tinggi maka rejamannya mudah mengatasi Norshahruddin.

"Saya puji peningkatan permainan Malaysia dalam set ketiga tetapi keseluruhannya, saya rasa kita perlu berlatih lebih giat dan mencari kaedah baru atau saintifik dalam meningkatkan kemahiran dan kemampuan pasukan kita dengan bantuan MSN (Majlis Sukan Negara) dan ISN (Institut Sukan Negara)," katanya.
Sementara itu, jurulatih Thailand, Kamol Tankimhong menafikan mereka memperkecilkan kemampuan tuan rumah apabila menurunkan regu kedua dan merehatkan langsung pelibas utamanya, Anuwat Chaichana tetapi lebih didorong kehadiran ribuan penyokong tuan rumah.

"Kami perlukan pemain yang berpengalaman luas seperti Pornchai bagi mengawal situasi dan mententeramkan keadaan regu kami yang mungkin mudah tertekan dan terganggu dengan kehadiran penyokong lawan. Sukar bermain dalam keadaan sebegitu dan saya akui persembahan kami amat bagus," katanya.

Sementara itu jurulatih skuad wanita Malaysia, Md. Fikri Md. Nor yang menyaksikan anak buahnya mencuri satu set sebelum tewas 1-3 kepada Vietnam dalam separuh akhir, berkata: "Pengalaman memisahkan kami. Kami tahu Vietnam memang kuat tetapi saya berpuas hati dengan corak permainan pasukan kita".

PETALING JAYA, April 24 (Bernama) -- National head coach Datuk K. Rajagobal was let off the hook by the Football Association of Malaysia's (FAM) Disciplinary Committee after finding no evidence that he had violated FAM's Article 88, as claimed.
