PM bakar semangat pemain

KUALA LUMPUR - Perdana Menteri, Datuk Seri Najib Tun Razak sempat meluangkan masa bertanya khabar kepada skuad Harimau Malaya, sekali gus memberi suntikan semangat menjelang perlawanan getir menentang Singapura hari ini.

Najib tidak bersemuka secara langsung dengan para pemain tetapi panggilan telefon yang dibuatnya kepada jurulatihnya, Datuk K. Rajagobal membuktikan betapa beliau mengambil berat perlawanan malam ini.

"Panggilan itu membuatkan saya terharu. Perdana Menteri memberitahu beliau dan seluruh rakyat Malaysia akan menyokong padu di belakang kami. Perdana Menteri juga memaklumkan beliau tidak berkesempatan datang ke stadium esok (hari ini) kerana akan berada di Kedah untuk program bersama rakyat, tetapi beliau berjanji akan menyaksikan perlawanan bersama 10,000 rakyat di situ.

"Saya menyampaikan pesanan beliau kepada pemain-pemain dan nyata semangat mereka kian membara selepas mengetahui panggilan Perdana Menteri itu," katanya kepada pemberita ketika ditemui semalam.

Rajagobal Let Off The Hook

PETALING JAYA, April 24 (Bernama) -- National head coach Datuk K. Rajagobal was let off the hook by the Football Association of Malaysia's (FAM) Disciplinary Committee after finding no evidence that he had violated FAM's Article 88, as claimed. FAM Disciplinary Committee chairman Datuk Taufik Abdul Razak said the committee had decided not to charge Rajagobal after carefully analysing the video of the post-match press conference by the 56-year-old coach.
