Berlatih dengan QPR sudah bagus

KUALA LUMPUR - Persatuan Bola Sepak Malaysia (FAM) menganggap langkah membawa pemain kebangsaan berlatih dengan kelab Liga Perdana Inggeris, Queens Park Rangers (QPR) oleh pemilik kelab itu merupakan satu usaha yang positif.

Menurut Setiausaha Agung FAM, Datuk Azzuddin Ahmad, (gambar) walaupun pemain negara tidak dapat beraksi dalam liga tersebut tetapi masih banyak cara lain untuk pemain kebangsaan mendapat kelebihan atas pembelian QPR oleh syarikat Malaysia, Tune Sports Sdn. Bhd.

"Kita kena sedar bahawa untuk beraksi di EPL adalah sesuatu yang mustahil kerana undang-undang yang ditetapkan oleh Persatuan Bola Sepak England (FA) hanya membenarkan pemain dari negara yang menduduki ranking dunia 70 ke bawah sahaja untuk bermain di sana," katanya ketika dihubungi Utusan Malaysia, semalam.

Jelasnya, walaupun tidak dapat beraksi tetapi pemain kebangsaan masih mempunyai manfaat di atas pembelian syarikat Malaysia ke atas kelab tersebut, misalnya mengadakan kem latihan di sana.
"Kita harus akur walaupun menjadi pemilik kelab tetapi kita tidak boleh melanggar undang-undang yang ditetapkan oleh FA, jadi fokus utama yang lebih realistik adalah menjalani ujian (trial) ataupun berlatih bersama QPR sahaja,'' ujarnya.

Sementara itu, pengurus peribadi Safee Sali, Zakaria Ab. Rahim berkata, terdapat dua alasan yang hampir mustahil untuk menyaksikan Safee muncul sebagai pemain bola sepak Malaysia yang bergaji di EPL iaitu syarat ketat permit kerja bagi warga bukan England dan ranking dunia skuad kebangsaan yang jauh daripada senarai 100 ke bawah.

"Saya dapati Thaksin (Shinawatra, bekas Perdana Menteri Thailand yang pernah beli Manchester City pada 2007) pun tidak mampu menempatkan tiga pemain negaranya (Suree Sukha, Kiatprawut Saiwaew dan Teerasil Dangda) dalam pasukan utama The Citizens.

''Mereka tidak pernah bermain langsung dan ia mungkin kerana kuasa mutlak pengurus pasukan (ketika itu, Sven-Goran Eriksson) yang lebih memahami percaturan permainan," jelasnya.

Rajagobal Let Off The Hook

PETALING JAYA, April 24 (Bernama) -- National head coach Datuk K. Rajagobal was let off the hook by the Football Association of Malaysia's (FAM) Disciplinary Committee after finding no evidence that he had violated FAM's Article 88, as claimed. FAM Disciplinary Committee chairman Datuk Taufik Abdul Razak said the committee had decided not to charge Rajagobal after carefully analysing the video of the post-match press conference by the 56-year-old coach.
