Safee akhiri latihan di Cardiff City, pulang esok


Safee Sali sempat merakamkan kenangan di Stadium Cardiff City, semalam sebelum mengambil penerbangan pulang ke Kuala Lumpur, esok. - BERNAMA


CARDIFF CITY - Penyerang kebangsaan Safee Sali akan pulang ke Malaysia, esok selepas menjalani latihan dua minggu dengan kelab bola sepak Cardiff City di bawah kendalian pengurus Malky Mackay.

Harapan pemain berusia 27 tahun itu adalah agar dapat diterima sebagai pemain kelab dari Wales itu yang bersaing dalam Liga Inggeris.

Safee, yang kini bermain untuk kelab Indonesia, Pelita Jaya berkata, tempo permainan di England lebih pantas.
Penyertaan Safee dalam latihan dengan Cardiff City mendapat liputan meluas akhbar tempatan, malahan beberapa penyokong kelab itu turut mendapatkan autograf beliau semalam ketika pasukan itu menentang Leicester City.

Beliau tidak bermain dalam permainan itu.
"Selepas menyertai pasukan simpanan dan juga pasukan utama dalam latihan, saya dapati permainan di sini lebih pantas. Ia di tahap berbeza," katanya ketika ditemui di Stadium Cardiff City.

Safee, yang berasal dari Selangor, menyifatkan latihan yang dijalaninya sebagai berjaya dan beliau diterima dengan baik oleh pemain-pemain Cardiff City.

"Walaupun hanya dua minggu, saya banyak belajar. InsyaAllah, saya harap dapat kembali untuk bermain bagi pasukan ini di masa depan," katanya.

Perlawanan Cardiff City dengan Leicester City itu turut disaksikan Pesuruhjaya Tinggi Malaysia ke Britain, Datuk Zakaria Sulong dan isteri, yang menyertai sambutan Hari Kemerdekaan Malaysia yang diraikan oleh kelab berkenaan.

Safee, yang sebelum ini dianggap oleh pengurus Queens Park Rangers, Neil Warnock sebagai 'David Beckham Malaysia' akan bermain untuk pasukan negara menentang Australia di Sydney pada 7 Oktober ini.
Ini merupakan perlawanan pertama antara kedua-dua pasukan itu dalam tempoh 20 tahun.

Rajagobal Let Off The Hook

PETALING JAYA, April 24 (Bernama) -- National head coach Datuk K. Rajagobal was let off the hook by the Football Association of Malaysia's (FAM) Disciplinary Committee after finding no evidence that he had violated FAM's Article 88, as claimed.
