Masa pemain rehat sepuasnya

KUALA LUMPUR - Pengendali Harimau Muda, Ong Kim Swee mahu anak-anak buahnya berehat sepuas-puasnya dan melupakan sepenuhnya bola sepak buat sementara waktu.

Skuad Olimpik Bawah 22 kendalian Kim Swee telah mengerah segala kudrat untuk sepanjang tiga minggu lalu, mengharungi lapan perlawanan keseluruhannya, enam pada Sukan SEA dan dua bagi Kelayakkan Olimpik.

"Mereka telah memberikan segalanya, janganlah fikir langsung pasal bola sepak.
'Biarlah mereka mengambil kesempatan ini berehat secukupnya dan luangkan masa bersama ahli keluarga," kata Kim Swee.

Kim Swee memberi jaminan bahawa Harimau Muda tetap meneruskan perjuangan dan menjanjikan aksi terbaik walaupun harapan layak ke Olimpik hampir berkubur selepas kecundang dalam kesemua tiga perlawanan pertama.

"Untuk baki tiga perlawanan seterusnya, misi tetap sama iaitu memburu kemenangan dan mata.
"Andai tidak layak pun, biarlah kita memanfaatkan sepenuhnya perlawanan berkualiti tinggi seperti ini untuk kita belajar sesuatu," jelasnya.

Malaysia dijadual bertemu Bahrain pada 5 Februari depan, diikuti Jepun (22 Februari) dan Syria (14 Mac).
Malaysia kini menghuni tangga tercorot Kumpulan C selepas gagal meraih sebarang mata, dengan Jepun gah di kemuncak dengan sembilan mata, meninggalkan Syria (enam) dan Bahrain (tiga).

Rajagobal Let Off The Hook

PETALING JAYA, April 24 (Bernama) -- National head coach Datuk K. Rajagobal was let off the hook by the Football Association of Malaysia's (FAM) Disciplinary Committee after finding no evidence that he had violated FAM's Article 88, as claimed. FAM Disciplinary Committee chairman Datuk Taufik Abdul Razak said the committee had decided not to charge Rajagobal after carefully analysing the video of the post-match press conference by the 56-year-old coach.
