KUALA LUMPUR, Nov 29 (Bernama) -- More than 200 media personnel making up 19 teams are expected to lay down their pens and laptops to compete in the Media Games organised by the National Sports Council (NSC).
NSC's media relations officer Mohd Fahmi Omar said the event, organised for the fourth time, was to enhance the relationship between journalists, photographers, NSC officials and sponsors.
"Through the games, they (media) who are always involved in covering various sports events, will have an opportunity to showcase their personal skills and knowledge in sports," he told reporters here Tuesday.
Mohd Fahmi said the games which start on Saturday would comprise three types of sports, namely badminton, tenpin bowling and football (five-a-side).
Apart from the three sports, media personnel would also be able to showcase their individual talent in singing through a karaoke competition.
He added that tenpin bowling and karaoke would be held on Saturday at the Endah Parade Megalanes in Seri Petaling and Dewan Komanwel, NSC respectively in the morning and evening while badminton takes place at NSC's Gymnasium 2.
Football will be held on Dec 11 at NSC's Artificial Turf.
