KUALA LUMPUR, Nov 6 (Bernama) -- National junior men's singles shuttler Zulfadli Zulkifli created history when he emerged champion after defeating defending champion Viktor Axelsen from Denmark at the World Junior Championship in Taiwan today.
The Asian junior champion beat Viktor 21-18, 9-21 and 21-19 in a 50-minute encounter, according to the tournamentsoftware.com website.
This is the 19-year-old's second win over Axelsen, the first being in a junior tournament in Sweden in 2005.
