KUALA LUMPUR, April 26 (Bernama) -- The National Sports Council (NSC)
Paralympic Branch is targeting to get four more B category athletes to
qualify for the 2012 London Paralympic Games.
Its director, Mohd Safrushahar Yusoff so far, two B category athletes, Mohd Azlan Mohd Lazim (men's 100m F36/body impairment) and Amir Firdaus (men's long jump (F38/body impairment) exceeded the minimum standard of the qualification A (MQSA) to earn their tickets to represent the country.
They achieved the MQSA's mark set up by the National Paralympic Committee (NPC) at the Malaysian Open Paralympic Athletics Championship at the NSC Mini Stadium today.
"So far, 15 category A paralympic athletes had passed the MQSA and we hope more paralympic athletes could be selected on merits to go to London," Mohd Safrushahar told Bernama today.
