India rentap peluang Malaysia

IPOH - Hasrat Malaysia untuk mencatat kemenangan pertama dalam Kejohanan Hoki Piala Sultan Azlan Shah tidak kesampaian sebaliknya kalah 2 - 3 kepada India di Stadium Azlan Shah, di sini malam tadi.

Keputusan itu ternyata merentap peluang Malaysia yang menyasarkan pentas akhir pada kejohanan kali ini.
Jurulatih Tai Ben Hai sememangnya meletakkan harapan yang tinggi untuk mengutip mata penuh setelah Malaysia seri dalam dua perlawanan awal.

Meskipun hampa, Beng Hai tidak mahu menyalahkan mana-mana pemain.
“Para pemain telah mencuba bersungguh-sungguh tetapi nasib tidak menyebelahi Malaysia,'' jelasnya.
Dalam masa yang sama, dia mengakui jentera serangan skuad negara masih cetek pengalaman, sehingga India mudah memintas setiap serangan Malaysia.

“Kita melakukan serangan bertenaga pada awal perlawanan tetapi gagal menjaringkan gol,'' tambahnya.
Jentera serangan Malaysia yang diketuai Faizal Shaari gagal menyempurnakan beberapa peluang terbaik untuk menjaringkan gol.

Selepas ditekan oleh pasukan tuan rumah, India bangkit mengasak kubu Malaysia dan berjaya mendapat gol pertama melalui tolakan kencang oleh Danish Mujtaba pada minit ke-10.

India yang sudah menempah tiket ke Sukan Olimpik London, garang apabila sekali lagi membolosi gawang Malaysia hasil pukulan sudut penalti yang disempurnakan oleh Shivendra Singh pada minit ke-13.
Malaysia bangkit pada awal babak kedua dan merapatkan jurang perbezaan gol hasil pukulan sudut penalti oleh Muhammad Rahim Amin pada minit ke-40.

Selepas itu India kembali menjarakkan diri daripada Malaysia apabila Tushar Khandker menyumbat gol ketiga pasukannya pada minit ke-44.

Pemain remaja, Muhd Fitri Saari berjaya merapatkan jurang perbezaan gol melalui rembatan kencangnya pada minit ke-59.

Walaupun Malaysia mendapat sokongan padu daripada hampir 10,000 penonton tempatan tetapi gagal mendapatkan gol penyamaan.
