KUALA LUMPUR, May 30 (Bernama) -- The Malaysian Weightlifting
Federation (MWF) may get an extra slot for the London Olympics in the
men's category if one of the two weightlifters tested for drugs at the
Asian Qualifiers in Pyeongtaek, South Korea last month, tested positive.
MWF President Zafarul Akhbar Kassim said the federation was still waiting for the result of a doping test on two weightlifters - one from Uzbekistan and another from Kazakstan - conducted by the International Weightlifting Federation (IWF).
"If one of them tested positive we will have an opportunity to send an extra weightlifter," he told Bernama Wednesday.
Zafarul said if both weightlifters tested negative he would try to get a wildcard entry from IWF.
