KUALA LUMPUR, June 27 (Bernama) -- Malaysia's number one men's doubles
pair Koo Kien Keat/Tan Boon Heong have vowed to regain their status as
the world number one pair and revive their glory days.
Denying that their performance had dropped due to a lack of understanding with his partner, Kien Keat said they were currently training to regain their confidence before going to the London Olympics next month.
"To say we are not compatible, we have been together for more than five years and we are still among the best doubles pairs in the world.
"We used to be the world number one doubles pair and if possible, we want to regain that status," he told reporters when met at the Juara Stadium, here, on Wednesday.
Kien Keat and Boon Heong were the number one pair in the world for six months from 2009 to 2010, winning numerous titles, including the prestigious All England men's doubles.
