Peluang terbaik raih emas - Jega

KOTA BHARU - Malaysia berada pada kedudukan terbaik untuk meraih lebih daripada sebutir pingat termasuk emas pada Sukan Olimpik buat pertama kali dalam sejarah penyertaan negara sejak 1956.
Bekas atlet olahraga negara, Tan Sri Dr. M. Jegathesan berkata, jika sebelum ini harapan hanya disandarkan dalam acara badminton, tetapi kini cabaran turut meliputi sukan berbasikal, terjun dan memanah.

Beliau yang juga Pro- Canselor Universiti Sains Malaysia (USM) berkata: "Kita ada empat jenis sukan yang boleh diletak harapan untuk pingat, tidak kira apa warna. Ini kali pertama kita ada peluang dalam empat jenis sukan.

"Kita harap di London nanti, atlet menunjukkan kehandalan. Jika ada peluang kita mungkin memenangi emas, mungkin juga dapat lebih daripada sebutir pingat," katanya di sini, semalam.

Rajagobal Let Off The Hook

PETALING JAYA, April 24 (Bernama) -- National head coach Datuk K. Rajagobal was let off the hook by the Football Association of Malaysia's (FAM) Disciplinary Committee after finding no evidence that he had violated FAM's Article 88, as claimed. FAM Disciplinary Committee chairman Datuk Taufik Abdul Razak said the committee had decided not to charge Rajagobal after carefully analysing the video of the post-match press conference by the 56-year-old coach.
