32 FT Sukma Athletes Receive Incentives Of RM1,000 Each

KUANTAN, July 13 (Bernama) -- Thirty-two Federal Territory athletes who won gold medals at the Malaysia Games (Sukma) in Pahang, each received a RM1,000 incentive Friday.

The incentives were handed out by Federal Territories and Urban Well-Being Minister Datuk Raja Nong Chik Raja Zainal Abidin at a hotel here.

The recipients of the incentives were aquatic participants (eight), equestrian (six), karate (three), badminton (eight), shooting (four), athletes (two) and lawn bowling (one).

The incentive for individual participants is RM5,000 each, while for team category, it is RM4,000. The balance would be given at a date to be decided later by the Federal Territory Sports Council (MWSP).

Raja Nong Chik said the incentive was one of many under the MWSP sports development programme, other than allowances for athletes, daily training allowances, participatory sponsorships to national and international championships and purchase of equipment.

Rajagobal Let Off The Hook

PETALING JAYA, April 24 (Bernama) -- National head coach Datuk K. Rajagobal was let off the hook by the Football Association of Malaysia's (FAM) Disciplinary Committee after finding no evidence that he had violated FAM's Article 88, as claimed.
