KANGAR, July 22 (Bernama) - Perlis Football Association (PFA)
president Datuk Seri Shahidan Kassim wants to resign from the post he
has been holding since 1998.
He said that football development is a costly affair and proposed that Menteri Besar Datuk Seri Md Isa Sabu take over the association.
"I know that the menteri besar is not keen on football but he has the financial resources to lead this sport," he told a press conference here Sunday.
Financial factors caused Perlis to fare poorly in the Premier League this season and has to play in the FAM League next season.
Shahidan said the PFA management spent millions of ringgit annually while the sources of finance are very limited.
