Sukan SEA 2017: MOM Patut Serah Kertas Kerja Kepada Kerajaan - Zolkples

KUALA LUMPUR, 20 Julai (Bernama) -- Majlis Olimpik Malaysia (MOM) yang mencadangkan Malaysia menjadi tuan rumah Sukan SEA 2017 sepatutnya mengemukakan kertas kerja kepada kerajaan terlebih dahulu sebelum mengumumkannya kepada umum.

Ketua Pengarah Majlis Sukan Negara (MSN) Datuk Seri Zolkples Embong berkata penganjuran temasya sukan besar seperti Sukan SEA perlu dibincangkan dengan teliti, khususnya mengenai implikasi kewangan sebelum keputusan dibuat.

"Saya tidak rasa MOM mampu menganjurkan kejohanan tersebut tanpa bantuan kerajaan, tetapi jika MOM memang sudah mempunyai sumber kewangan yang cukup, pihak MSN akan meluluskannya dengan rasa gembira.

"MSN sudahpun mempunyai pengalaman menganjurkan temasya sukan besar seperti Sukan Komanwel dan Sukan SEA, jadi ia bukanlah satu masalah bagi kita," katanya kepada pemberita selepas mempengerusikan mesyuarat ketua kontinjen bersama pengurus pasukan Paralimpik London di Kompleks Sukan Negara, dekat sini Jumaat.

Beliau diminta mengulas mengenai kenyataan MOM pada Rabu lepas yang Malaysia bersetuju menganjurkan Sukan SEA 2017 setelah Brunei Darussalam yang sepatutnya menjadi tuan rumah pada tahun itu memutuskan untuk menganjurkan edisi 2019.

Rajagobal Let Off The Hook

PETALING JAYA, April 24 (Bernama) -- National head coach Datuk K. Rajagobal was let off the hook by the Football Association of Malaysia's (FAM) Disciplinary Committee after finding no evidence that he had violated FAM's Article 88, as claimed. FAM Disciplinary Committee chairman Datuk Taufik Abdul Razak said the committee had decided not to charge Rajagobal after carefully analysing the video of the post-match press conference by the 56-year-old coach.
