KEMAMAN, July 17 (Bernama) -- The Terengganu state government announced
July 22 as a state holiday to celebrate the victory of the Terengganu
contingent that clinched the overall title for the fourth consecutive
time when the 15th Pahang SUKMA ended in Kuantan yesterday.

"The people of the whole state are overjoyed by the achievement of the contingent that accumulated 62 gold, 24 silver and 31 bronze medals. The state holiday is to honour that achievement," he told reporters after hosting a victorious welcome ceremony for the Terengganu SUKMA contingent at Padang Astaka, Bandai Cukai here Tuesday.
