Indonesia And Laos Draw 2-2 In Group B Of AFF Suzuki Cup.

KUALA LUMPUR, Nov 25 (Bernama) -- Indonesia, runners-up in the 2010 AFF Cup, and Loas drew 2-2 in an opening Group B match for the AFF Suzuki Cup at the National Stadium in Bukit Jalil, here, Sunday.

Laos, coached by Japanese Kokichi Kimura, were in front in the 29th minute through a penalty kick by Khampheng Sayavutti who beat Indonesian substitute goalkeeper, Wahyu Tri Nugroho.

Earlier, their number one keeper, Endra Prasetya Suprapto, was given a red card by referee Ng Kai Lam, from Hong Kong, for bringing down a Laotian player in the penalty box.

The Garuda squad, however, managed to draw level in the 43rd min. through its naturalised player from the Netherlands, Raphael Guillerm Eduardo Maitimo, with a header to beat Laos' keeper, Sengphachan Bounthisanh.

Substitute Keoviengpheth Lithideth scored the second goal for Laos in the 79th min. before his Indonesian counterpart Vendry Ronaldo Mofu equalised in the 89th min.

Laos will next meet Malaysia while Indonesia are scheduled to meet Singapore this coming Wednesday, with both matches to be held at the same stadium.

Rajagobal was let off the hook by the Football Association of Malaysia's (FAM) Disciplinary Committee after finding no evidence that he had violated FAM's Article 88, as claimed.
