‘Ini prosedur biasa’

Johor Bahru: Johor Bahru: Tunku Mahkota Johor, Tunku Ismail Sultan Ibrahim menafikan anggota dan Komando Askar Timbalan Setia Negeri Johor (JMF) ditugaskan mengawal keselamatan pada perlawanan antara Kelantan dan Johor Darul Takzim (DT) di Stadium Muhammad IV, Kota Bharu, Kelantan, Selasa lalu.
Tunku Ismail yang juga Presiden Persatuan Bola Sepak Negeri Johor (PBNJ) berkata, tentera lengkap bersenjata itu sebenarnya anggota Rejimen Ke-21 Gerup Gerak Khas (GGK) dari Kem Iskandar Mersing, Johor dan bukannya anggota JMF seperti didakwa sesetengah pihak.

Menjelaskan perkara itu, Tunku Ismail berkata, anggota terbabit sebenarnya ditugaskan untuk bersedia di stadium berikutan baginda dimaklumkan ayahandanya, Sultan Johor, Sultan Ibrahim Iskandar akan berangkat untuk menyaksikan perlawanan itu.
“Kehadiran anggota komando adalah prosedur operasi standard (SOP) dan ia penting untuk memastikan keselamatan Sultan Johor yang juga Kolonel Kehormat Rejimen GGK terjamin setiap masa.

“Perkara ini bukan baru kerana dalam program besar seperti Kembara Mahkota Johor (KMJ), anggota komando turut bersiap sedia dan ditugaskan memastikan keselamatan Sultan Johor,” katanya pada sidang media di Istana Bukit Pelangi, semalam.

Sehubungan itu, Tunku Ismail menafikan JMF terbabit dalam tugasan mengawal keselamatan perlawanan di Kota Bharu, malam itu.

Sebaliknya, Tunku Ismail menyifatkan penyokong pasukan Johor DT sebagai mangsa kekecohan di Kota Bharu yang berpunca daripada kegagalan Persatuan Bola Sepak Negeri Kelantan (KAFA) mengawal peminat mereka yang bertindak di luar batasan.

Beberapa persoalan juga timbul apabila anggota dari Unit Simpanan Persekutuan (FRU) dikatakan tidak ditugaskan untuk mengawal keselamatan pada malam itu atau sebarang langkah keselamatan diambil KAFA untuk mengelak kejadian tidak diingini berlaku.
“Kami kecewa dengan apa berlaku kerana bukan saja lelaki tapi penyokong wanita dan kanak-kanak turut menjadi mangsa apabila terkena kayu, botol minuman dan botol kaca yang dibaling penyokong Kelantan. Ia membuktikan KAFA gagal mengawal penyokong mereka.

“Tindakan seperti itu tidak sepatutnya berlaku kerana sebelum ini perkara sama pernah beberapa kali berlaku. KAFA seharusnya mengambil tindakan tertentu untuk mengawal penyokong mereka daripada bertindak sedemikian.

“Surat rasmi berhubung kekecohan dan keselamatan di Kota Bharu sudah dihantar kepada Persatuan Bola Sepak Malaysia (FAM) untuk tindakan selanjutnya.” Difahamkan atas sebab keselamatan, pemain Johor DT terpaksa menggunakan pintu belakang stadium dan dikawal polis bagi mengelak sebarang kejadian tidak diingini daripada berlaku. Bagaimanapun Tunku Ismail menasihatkan penyokong Johor DT supaya tidak berdendam dengan melakukan kekecohan atau mengasari penyokong Kelantan apabila pasukan The Red Warriors berkunjung ke Larkin. Penyokong Johor DT diminta menjaga tingkah laku, beradab dan bersikap profesional untuk menikmati perlawanan tanpa sebarang insiden tidak diingini.

Rajagobal Let Off The Hook

PETALING JAYA, April 24 (Bernama) -- National head coach Datuk K. Rajagobal was let off the hook by the Football Association of Malaysia's (FAM) Disciplinary Committee after finding no evidence that he had violated FAM's Article 88, as claimed.
