"I Am Willing To Meet Anyone Including Khairy," Says Tengku Abdullah

KUALA LUMPUR, June 20 (Bernama) -- Football Association of Malaysia (FAM) deputy president Tengku Abdullah Sultan Ahmad Shah said he was ready to meet anyone, including Youth and Sports Minister Khairy Jamaluddin to discuss the future of football in the country.

"I am willing to meet anyone including Khairy at any time," he told reporters when asked to comment on Khairy's request to meet only decision makers in the FAM.

Tengku Abdullah when asked to comment on Kelantan Football Association (KAFA) advisor Tan Sri Annuar Musa's statement on the Harimau Muda A team's playing tour in Slovakia, Tengku Abdullah said he does not want to speculate anything on the matter since he was not involved.

"I am afraid to speculate...I myself was not involved (sending Harimau Muda A to Slovakia). We only draft policies...that is administration's part and I don't like to point fingers at any FAM staff," he said.

Annuar in his Facebook yesterday had claimed that the main purpose of sending Ong Kim Swee's squad for training cum playing tour in Slovakia was to ease FAM officials to visit the country.

The former KAFA president who is currently serving a 30-month suspension had also questioned the FAM's procedure in selecting the agent for making the arrangements and wanted to know if it was done through a tender exercise or quotation.

Tengku Abdullah also said that the FAM received RM30 million for the M-League broadcasting rights but the money was not enough to assist teams playing in the league.

"I am not involved in managing the funds...but what I know is that there is money coming from sponsors and I believe there is an allocation for all teams as per FAM's decision.

"In fact, every year we audit our accounts and financial statements issued...however, I believe the RM30 million a year for the M-League is not enough," he said.

Annuar on the other hand questioned the way FAM spends the RM30 million since according to him, the money should be used to assist state FA financially.

He said the money also belonged to teams playing in the M-League and not solely belong to the FAM.

PETALING JAYA, April 24 (Bernama) -- National head coach Datuk K. Rajagobal was let off the hook by the Football Association of Malaysia's (FAM) Disciplinary Committee after finding no evidence that he had violated FAM's Article 88, as claimed. "After listening to the recording of the post-match press conference, we decided to drop the charge against Rajagopal as he did not make such a statement. "Maybe his (Rajagobal) assessment and comments of the match was misconstrued by the media. There was no mention of the FAM policy throughout his comments," said Taufik after emerging from a three-hour Disciplinary Committee meeting at Wisma FAM in Kelana Jaya, here, Wednesday. Rajagobal who does not mince his words when asked to com...
