‘Tiada tekanan’

Kuala Lumpur: Tiada tekanan buat pelumba negara Azizulhasni Awang untuk mempamerkan aksi terbaik walaupun meramalkan pelumba Eropah bakal menghadirkan saingan sengit pada siri Piala Dunia pertama di Manchester dari 1 hingga 3 November ini.

Menurut pelumba trek negara yang berpangkalan di Australia itu, dia kini sudah bersedia sepenuhnya menghadapi kejohanan itu yang bakal menghimpunkan barisan pelumba terbaik dunia.

“Tiada sebarang tekanan bagi saya, cuma sudah tidak sabar kembali berlumba. Rentak kayuhan akan datang dengan sendiri selepas kita berulang kali berlumba dan saya harap menjelang Kejohanan Dunia untuk mengulang sejarah berada di podium (memenangi pingat perak edisi 2010).
“Cuma pada kejohanan di Manchester ini, pelumba Eropah sudah berada di depan kerana musim baru mereka bermula lebih awal dan sudah menyertai banyak perlumbaan sebagai persiapan ke Piala Dunia. Kejohanan ini pasti sangat sengit,” katanya.

Bagaimanapun ia tidak mematahkan semangat pelumba Olimpik negara berusia 25 tahun itu yang menjelaskan dia sentiasa bersedia mental dan fizikal bagi menghadapi sebarang kemungkinan serta cabaran.

Azizulhasni dijadual menyertai dua acara, keirin dan pecut dengan membawa nama YSD Cycling Team bersama pelumba wanita negara, Fatehah Mustapa manakala Josiah Ng, Muhammad Edrus Md Yunos, Muhammad Shah Firdaus Sahrom dan Jupha Somnet turun mewakili skuad negara.
“Seboleh-bolehnya saya mahu berada di podium bagi penyertaan kali ini sama ada dalam keirin atau pecut,” katanya yang sudah ‘memanaskan badan’ dengan menyertai Piala Asia di Thailand, awal bulan lalu.

Rajagobal Let Off The Hook

PETALING JAYA, April 24 (Bernama) -- National head coach Datuk K. Rajagobal was let off the hook by the Football Association of Malaysia's (FAM) Disciplinary Committee after finding no evidence that he had violated FAM's Article 88, as claimed.
